The hike starts from the old SNCF railway station in Saint-Martin-de-Pallières, at the entrance to the village. To get there, take the small road towards the Chapelle Saint-Étienne. After the chapel, continue along the road and, at a bend, you will find the station and a small car park.
(S/E) Take the D470 road up towards La Verdiére. Pass the entrance to the Domaine des Adrets.
(1) At the next bend, leave theGR® and continue along the road
(2) At the junction with the D65, continue straight ahead, then pass the entrance to the Domaine de Montmayon and continue along the road.
(3) Turn left onto a gravel track lined with two large stones. At the entrance to the private property, you will see the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Santé in the distance. Turn right and join the D65 without entering the property and continue along this road.
(4) At the junction with the D30, continue right towards La Verdière.
(5) Look for the path on the left that you will take on the way back and continue along the road.
(6) After the 25 km marker, turn left onto a track that runs alongside the road and, after a few metres, take the small path on the left. Cross a gravel track and continue straight ahead.
(7) At the crossroads of several tracks, in front of a ruined wall, take the small path on the right. At the end of the field, turn right and cross a field path. Continue straight ahead on the small path between two low walls, join a track and continue straight ahead. At the end of a field, enter a wooded area and continue straight ahead.
(8) Pass a round marker and walk along a vineyard. Turn left at the end of the row and, at the end of the row, join a track suitable for vehicles.
(9) Turn left. At a large electricity pole, do not enter the property but continue straight ahead.
(10) In the woods, at the intersection of several tracks, turn left and pass to the right of a large oak tree. After a few metres, turn left and take a 4x4 track. Pass under a 3-wire EDF power line and continue along the track.
(11) At the end of the field, turn right, cross a small stone bridge and take the track on the left until you reach a road.
(12) At the junction with a small road, continue straight ahead.
(5) Walk along the D30 for a few steps, then turn right and go through a wood. At the edge of a field, enter the wood. At a Y-junction, turn left then take a small path on the right, passing in front of a ruin.
(13) Cross the D30 and bear slightly left. At the first junction, turn right, then right again. At the next three junctions, turn left and then right. Pass a fire hydrant and turn left.
(14) Cross the D65, go straight ahead and take a small path. At the junction, turn right.
(1) Turn right and follow the D470 along the same route as on the way there to return to the car park (S/E).
