From vineyard to vineyard in Brue-Auriac

Access to the chapel car park is via the D560, the road from Saint-Maximin to Brue-Auriac. A sign on the departmental road indicates the Notre-Dame Chapel. It is located 15 minutes from Saint-Maximin la Sainte-Baume and Barjols.

(S/E) At the start, follow the^GR®99markings. The path is well marked. It crosses vineyards before an uphill climb.

(1) Ignore the path on your right (end of the route). Continue straight ahead.

You will arrive at information panel 1 in front of the vineyard. Follow the path that turns left in front of the panel. It moves slightly away from the vines before running alongside them a few dozen metres further on.

(2) You are now in front of educational panel 2. Continue straight ahead (south) on the^GR®99. Follow the path that runs alongside the vineyards. It veers away from them once to go around a grove. Do not take the paths on your left into the woods.

(3) You will arrive at educational panel 3. The^GR®99indicates that you should turn left. Do not follow this direction. Continue straight ahead along the vineyards.

(4) You are now at the Resistance memorial, on which information board 4 is displayed. You are at the intersection of several paths.
From here to the southern end of the route, in the hamlet of Saint-Estève, you are on a return section.

If you wish to go to the hamlet of Saint-Estève, follow the signs for "Hameau Saint-Estève", continue straight ahead, passing in front of the cisterns. Go down the track to the road.
Cross the D35. Follow the signs for the hamlet of Saint-Estève in front of you. Take care when crossing the bend. Enter the hamlet.

(5) In front of the wine cellar, you will find educational panel 5. Be sure to visit the hamlet before retracing your steps back to the Resistance memorial.

(4) Back at the Resistance memorial, do not take the tarmac ramp on your left that leads to the D35. Take the path opposite you in the woods, signposted Chapelle Notre-Dame.
The path joins the vineyards at a large holm oak tree, under which you will find information panel 6 (bench). Walk along the vineyards. Pass information panel 7. Continue along the track, following the vineyards.

(6) Turn left, then immediately right, following the two signs for Chapelle Notre-Dame. You will enter a wooded area. Markers placed at regular intervals indicate the path.
Fields planted with young vines will soon appear on your left. Walk along the vineyards. You will arrive at educational panel 8 (drawing table and bench).
Continue along the path until you reach the path you took at the start.

(1) Turn left. You are now on a return section. Return to the Notre-Dame Chapel and the car park where you started (S/E).

The route is a circular route with sections at either end that are return trips. Up to (3) on the map, you are on the^GR®99; follow the red and white markings on the route.
