Saint-Jean-la-Poterie circular loop

Park in the church car park.

(S/E) Opposite the church, turn right towards the crossroads.

(1) On your right, you can admire the Patio, where magnificent pottery is crafted. Cross the street and continue straight ahead. Keep going in the same direction, ignoring the side streets. At the junction, go straight on towards the Cirque des Lises, where you’ll stop to admire the magnificent sculpture.

(2) Carry on straight ahead until you reach the road, turn right for a few dozen metres, then left into Rue Fernand Cadio. Follow this street to the top of the hill. At the water tower, go straight on, keep left at the junction just after it, and carry on until you reach the bend. Leave the street and follow a small path on the right that leads into the woods.

(3) Turn right downhill and admire the quarry and the view of Redon on your left. At the bottom, head slightly to the right, turn left in front of the sewage treatment works and rejoin the road.

(4) Turn right along the road and then left onto the first path which runs alongside the River Oust. Make the most of this time in the countryside to admire the wildlife.

(5) At the small bridge leading to Redon, turn left. At the crossroads, go straight on and take the path that leads uphill.

(6) Once at the top, take the dirt track on your left and walk alongside the quarry on your left-hand side.

(3) Turn right, then right again onto Rue du Bois Beugeais. At the junction, continue to the right onto Rue des Knues, which becomes Rue des Potières.

(1) Turn right to reach the church car park (S/E).
