The walk starts in the centre of Néron, opposite the church. A sign shows a map of the route (markedPR®® Yellow).
(Out and back) Head up Route d’Ormoy, passing the Colombier farm. At the top of the hill, take the path on the left. After 1 km, turn left along the hedge. Walk down to the road and turn left.
(1) After the stud farm, turn right onto the bridge and continue along the path beside the stream (or ditch, depending on the season). After 1.5 km, continue along the path on the right.
(2) Turn right onto the road (D326) then take the path immediately on the left. Continue along this path, cross the valley floor and head back up the opposite side.
(3) At the next junction, turn left, then immediately right. After 700 metres, you’ll come to a green gate.
(4) Turn onto the path on the left, follow it to the D326, then turn right onto it to reach the edge of the woodland.
(5) Stay in the woods by taking the path on the left. After a very gentle descent, you’ll reach a Y-junction at the edge of the woods.
(6) Take the right-hand branch, marked in yellow, and join the D136.5; follow it straight ahead for a short distance until the next bend, where you’ll see a pylon.
(7) Turn onto the path on the left, continue along the track in the middle of the field and head down into the village via the path between the two fences. Carry on straight ahead along the road and then down the cul-de-sac. Turn right onto the path before the small wooden bridge; this is the Sente des Lavoirs. You’ll come to a platform; continue along a wooden structure that takes you over the stream and back to the foot of the wooden bridge. Cross the bridge, continue along the path and return to the starting point in the centre of Néron (S/E).
