Park in the supermarket car park near the roundabout on the D26.
(S/E) To start the walk, head towards the supermarket entrance and take the D306.8 towards the hamlet of Vaubrun.
(1) At the end of this long road, turn left so that you pass in front of the water tower. Follow the road, which will take you through this charming hamlet, where all the trees are in magnificent bloom in spring.
(2) At the end of this small road, carry on straight ahead, taking care of oncoming traffic as you cross, until you reach a small field track. Continue for a good hundred metres.
(3) After passing a small copse, you have the choice of either going straight on or turning right. Turn right to take an easily accessible grassy path. Walk along the edge of the woodland, accompanied by little butterflies that will follow you all the way along the path.
(4) When you reach this junction, carry on straight ahead towards Chaudon. As soon as you leave the grassy path, you’ll find yourself facing a playground.
(5) Take Rue des Tuileries, which will take you through a residential area. Follow the road until you reach the entrance to a skate park.
(6) Turn right onto the path leading uphill into the heart of the woods. Follow the path to the next junction at the edge of the woods.
(7) Take a grassy path on your left. A few dozen metres further on, ignore the path on the right and go straight on across the fields. Before you reach the Vertubex company, turn right onto a grassy path and, at the end of this path, turn left to enter the residential area and reach a junction.
(8) Turn right towards the primary school and secondary school. To minimise the distance along the road, take the path leading to the primary school: please note, there is a gate to pass through which is closed from 8 pm. You’ll simply need to walk round the school; you’ll see a basketball court and the sports hall on your right.
Once opposite the social housing estate, turn left and walk alongside the nursery school to reach the D26. Turn right onto the footpath running parallel to the road and head for the car park (S/E).
