Feucherolles Valley and Woods

(S/E) Walk up Rue d’Ormoy and turn left onto the second path just after the last house. Walk along the horse paddock, heading due west.

(1) At the water tower, turn left towards the woods. At the edge of the woods, take the path on the right which climbs between the fields. At the road, turn right for 250 m and left onto the first path, then left again after 250 m. Pass the pond on your left and continue straight on into Feucherolles.

(2) Cross the road and take the street opposite, slightly to the right of the square. Continue and take Rue des Sénégalais. Follow Chemin de Trémemont in Feucherolles towards the woods. Continue through the woods and descend to the valley floor.

(3) Turn left onto Chemin de Tournainville towards Honville, cross the stream over the railway sleepers and head back up into the woods. At the edge of the woods, continue straight on until you reach the old road (D326.2), turn left, then right towards the woods.

(4) As you enter the woods, follow the Chemin de Honville to Néron. Continue along it until you reach the road (be careful, as there are many paths crossing). Follow the road to the right for 750 m.

(5) At the bottom of the descent, turn left onto the Chemin de Bouglainval, as shown on the map. Follow this path for 1.5 km.

(6) At the junction with the old Chemin de Bouglainval to Néron, turn left and follow the edge of the woodland, turning right onto the Chemin des Terres Courtes. Below the meadow, follow the path as it continues and passes to the other side of the copse. Follow this Chemin des Marchais Péants to the road. Turn left for 50 m and take the first path on the right.

(7) At the fork in the road, turn left until you reach the road.

(8) Turn left and walk straight through Boisricheux, past the old water tower converted into an astronomy centre, and, on the descent, turn left and head towards the woods. Leave the fields and huts in the woods on your right and continue along the path furthest to the left.

(9) Cross the road, take the path opposite, then follow the road to the left for 50 m and turn right onto the path. Follow the copses.

(10) Turn left after the last copse and join the road. Follow it to the left for 100 m and, 30 m before a small thatched cottage, take the path between the fence and the hedge. Turn left at the end, cross the bridge and carry on straight ahead. At the road, turn left until you reach the crossroads, then right. After 150 m, take the path that climbs to the left up to the Ormoy road. Turn left and pass the Colombier farm on your left (S/E).
