Park your car at the edge of a track leading from the hamlet of Les Gouttes; the track is passable beyond the cul-de-sac leading to a few houses. Take care not to obstruct traffic.
(S/E) Head towards the forest and take the uphill path on the left that leads into it. Be careful not to take the path on the right shown on the map, which disappears a little further on due to logging on this plot.
(1) At the junction, turn right and follow the path until you reach the road and the signposted path at a place called Talatay. Continue to the left until you reach the junction.
(2) Cross the road carefully to take the path opposite. Cross the stream and take the path uphill on the left. At the top of this short climb, turn right and continue straight on to the D12, ignoring the path on the right which also leads there.
(3) Cross the D12 with care and take the path slightly to the right opposite, which descends to the next road. Turn left until you rejoin the D12 and follow it to the right for about a hundred metres.
(4) Take the path on the left and continue until you reach the D10, which you follow to the right for about a hundred metres.
(5) Take the path on the left which crosses fields, then heads down into the forest and eventually comes out onto a wider path.
(6) Turn right, cross the stream, then immediately take the path on the left which climbs gently towards the hamlet of La Massardière.
(7) In the hamlet, follow the road down to the left and continue straight on. Once at the four-way junction at Le Bouchet, at elevation 837, head straight ahead and let a double-track path branch off to the left.
(8) A good hundred metres further on, leave the marked path, which continues straight ahead, and take the path on the left that climbs through the forest and leads back to the starting junction.
(1) Then turn right to return to the car park (S/E).
