Park in the car park of the Gaffard sports complex.
(S/E) Leave the car park and turn left onto Avenue de Gaffard.
(1) Cross the road and take Rue de la Renaudière opposite. Continue straight on until the last house, where the tarmac road turns into a dirt track. Follow this track.
(2) Turn left and climb up to join Chemin de Bergognon. Pass an old farmhouse on your right (watch out for dogs). Continue to the junction with Route de Malmont.
(3) Turn right to continue climbing, then turn left onto Chemin de Robinson.
(4) Leave the path on your left and take the one on the right that leads back down towards the Route de Malmont. Cross the road and take the path opposite. This crosses the Malval stream and then turns sharply right (north-north-west).
You will reach a junction (elevation 648).
(5) Continue straight on through the woods until you reach the junction with the path leading to Moulin des Brosses.
(6) Turn right to follow this sloping path, then veer left to reach the hamlet of Moulin des Brosses and emerge onto the Chemin des Brosses.
Turn right, then cross the housing estate by taking Allée du Vivarais on the left and then Allée du Velay on the right.
At the first bend, leave the street and take the footpath on the left which joins Avenue de Gaffard. Go straight on and cross the Gaffard neighbourhood until you reach the junction with Rue de l’Echapre. Turn left.
At the bottom of the street, turn right and head for the car park at the Gaffard sports complex (S/E).
