Park on Place du Foirail, in front of the Faux bakery. A covered market hall is located right next to it.
(S/E) Go round the back of the covered market, join Rue de la Poste and follow it down to the right until you reach Rue Paul Abadie, following the red and white markings of the GR®6. Cross over and head diagonally across to Rue Adrien Le Maire, arriving at Place de la Fontaine.
(1) Pass the wash house on your left and head up Rue de la Fontaine to the right for about a hundred metres. Leave the street and take a path on the left which leads to Rue du Lavoir, then turn left.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin Buffellard and continue to the first fork. Take the left-hand fork, following the GR® markings, and follow the path until you reach the tarmac road at a place called La Pomarède.
(3) Turn left, go straight on at the junction to follow a path that goes round a property and leads to a small pond.
(4) Head right to walk alongside a stream, staying on the GR®6.
(5) Ford the stream and continue until you reach a junction at the edge of the woods.
(6) Leave the GR®6, which continues straight on, and take a path that climbs to the left: a lovely climb through the woods that may seem long, up to a place called La Barde: a lovely viewpoint as you venture into the surrounding meadows.
(7) Turn right and follow the road to the junction with the D22.
(8) Cross carefully, turn left then right to follow a path which rejoins the GR®6 further on; follow the markings until you reach the finish. Turn left, join the Route des Galis and continue left, following it for a good hundred metres.
(9) Leave the road and take a path on the right which joins the Route de Verdon (D36). Cross carefully and continue straight ahead towards the water tower, which you’ll reach at the junction with the Route de la Jasse.
(10) Turn left and stay on this road until you reach the Town Hall. Then turn right to return to the car park at Place du Foirail (S/E).
