The route starts at the car park on Place Louise Mazeau, situated above the parish church. Follow the signposts along the route, marked by a round disc bearing the route number (No. 1). These discs may display other numbers, which should be ignored.
(S/E) Leave the car park by turning right into Rue du Château towards the church. At the ‘Give Way’ sign, turn right and follow the road towards the bridge over the Couze, without crossing it. Take the path opposite that leads up into the forest and continue to the next fork.
(1) Turn left onto the path that climbs gently alongside the park fence (where routes 1 and 2 split). You’ll reach a crossroads at the edge of the woods
(2) Continue straight ahead to reach the path leading to Bannes Castle. Continue left to reach Saint-Martin Church at the top of the hill.
(3) Go round the church to the right and retrace your steps to return to the crossroads at the edge of the woods, near the green shed 100 m away. Turn left into the woods, then walk along a clearing. Return to the woods and continue down a gentle slope until you reach, between the stone walls, a narrow lane at the foot of a house near Combe Molière.
(4) Turn right, go down the lane until you reach the BeaumontoisGRP® crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto it and follow the red and yellow markings to quickly return to the initial junction you passed on the way out.
(1) Turn left and retrace your steps along the route you took on the way there to return to the car park at Place Louise Mazeau (S/E).
