Circular walk starting from Faux

The route starts from the Place du Foirail in Faux.

(S/E) From the square and the signpost, head down Rue Neuve. Turn left, then, after the war memorial, turn right. Take the second left towards the wash house. Turn right in front of the wash house and continue along the street to the first junction. Then turn left and follow the street.

(1) Continue along the path, veering slightly to the right, until you reach a road.

(2) Take the road on the left for 20 metres, taking care, then take the path opposite. Follow this path until you reach a junction with a limestone track.

(3) Cross a road and head towards the hamlet of La Genèbre opposite. Before entering the hamlet, do not take the path on the right; continue along the road. Walk through the hamlet.

(4) On leaving the hamlet, follow the limestone track as it climbs.

(5) Leave the limestone path in front of the entrance to Moulin Brûlé and take the dirt track. Head uphill through the forest. Cross a stream and turn right (do not turn left). Continue uphill until you come out onto a path.

(6) Turn left. Follow this path through the woodland until you reach a crossroads. Take the path furthest to the left. Follow the path through the woodland as it climbs steadily.

(7) At the junction, take the path on the left and follow it to the hamlet of La Pomarède.

(8) Take the road opposite and walk for about 150 m.

(9) Take the path on the right. Follow this path to the hamlet of Buffelard to reach a junction you passed on the way out.

(1) Turn right onto the road and return via the same route you took on the way out to the starting point (S/E).
