Day 1:
Set off from Allos to Mont Pelat, passing by the magnificent lake. Not too difficult despite a significant elevation gain. Takes approximately 6 hours to reach the summit. A fairly busy route.

Campsite:
Right at the foot of Mont Pelat, there are quite a few flat, grassy areas.

Day 2:
Setting off from the foot of Mont Pelat. The descent after the Trou de l’Aigle is very dangerous and could have ended very badly for one of us… There was a lot of snow on this slope all the way down to the foot of Mont Cimet, despite it being June. The climb up to Mont Cimet had a few quite challenging sections but was manageable. Then a very long descent back to Allos, which seemed to go on forever.

In total, Strava recorded 40.20 km, 2,336 m of elevation gain and 12 hours 3 minutes of hiking over the two days.
