We did this hike the day after we arrived in Allos to prepare for 10 days of hiking in the region. This walk allows you to familiarise yourself with the village and its surroundings and prepare your calves for what lies ahead.

A lovely walk above Allos. The start is a bit tricky as there are lots of steps and it’s quite a steep climb. After that, it’s pure bliss: at Le Brec, you cross the river and there are lovely spots with water where you can cool off. A very pleasant descent through the forest.

A lovely walk I went on in early June. There were hardly any other people around at the time. Beautiful scenery and a walk through a lovely forest towards the end of the route
