Circular around Saint-Witz via Plailly and Vémars

Cemetery car park at the end of Rue des Moulins à Vent in Saint-Witz. There are also parking spaces nearby on Rue de Montmélian.

(S/E) Leaving the car park, ignore the road back to the car park on your left and take the first street on your right, Rue Saint-Louis.

(1) Turn right onto Rue Charles Péguy, go around the Notre-Dame de Montmélian Chapel, then take the street on the left and return to Rue de Montmélian.

(1) Follow it to the right.

(2) Turn right onto the path that enters the woods. Ignore two paths on the right and one on the left.

(3) A few metres after this last path, take the path on the left, called Chemin des Vieilles Plâtrières. Leave the woods and turn right, walking alongside the pumping station on your left. Enter Plailly via Rue Verte, cross the junction and take the small alley opposite, which leads to Parc Saint-Martin. Keep to the right without entering the park and head forSaint-Martin Church.

(4) Go around it on the left, turn left onto Rue Georges Bouchard, then right onto Rue François Goyer. At the end, turn left onto Rue du Gué, cross the junction and take Chemin de Dammartin across the fields at the end.

(5) Turn right at a place called Les Pré Fréminet, continue along this path at the edge of a wood and arrive at a crossroads at a place called Les Prés Madame. Leave the two paths on the left and join the road at a calvary (elevation 146).

(6) Make a short first turn right then left to take a path that runs along the left-hand side of the Fontaine des Trois Saules. Cross the Ru de la Michelette.

(7) At the crossroads, go straight ahead and, at the fork at the edge of a wood, take the left-hand path to reach Vémars.

(8) At the roundabout, take Rue François Mauriac on the right, cross the junction staying on the same street and at the end, turn right onto Rue de l'Echelette, which will quickly take you to a star-shaped crossroads.

(9) Turn right onto Rue Charles de Gaulle, pass in front of the Church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul and continue along Rue Louis Pasteur on the right.

(10) At the end, turn left onto Rue du Jeu d'Arc, go through the small wood, leaving the path on your right, and you will reach the Saint Witz ponds.

(11) Head left to follow the banks of the seven consecutive ponds.

(12) At the end of the last pond, turn right onto the path, leaving the ponds behind, and at the end, turn right again onto Rue du Vieux Lavoir.

(13) Turn left onto the path running parallel to Rue des Longs Lieux, then right onto Rue du Buisson Flocourt.

(14) Turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine aux Chiens and continue along this street, ignoring two street crossings and two paths.

(15) Turn left onto Rue des Hérons, then right onto Rue des Treize Saules.

(16) Take the next path on the left, then at the end, first turn right then left to follow Rue de la Fosse aux Boucs. Ignore the dead end on the left and continue for about 30 metres.

(17) Turn left onto the path, first turn left then right at the first crossroads, then go straight ahead at the next one.

(18) Turn right onto Chemin de la Mairie d'Antan, cross Rue du Gué d'Orient, then the small wood, and at Rue des Moulins à Vent, turn right to return to the car park (S/E).
