Departure from Rue Delanchy in Marly-la-Ville. Parking spaces along the street.
(S/E) Head north-west along Rue Delanchy. At the end, the street branches off to the right.
(1) At the fork, take the path to the left and then cross the fields with an unobstructed view to the west.
(2): At the intersection, continue straight downhill. When you reach Bellefontaine, take the lane on the right before Rue de la Source (spring nearby). At the end of the lane, turn left to follow the Ysieux along Allée de la Prairie.
(3) When you reach Rue des Sablons, turn right (bridge and old marker on the Ysieux). Pass in front of the lake and the retirement home.
(4) At the junction with the RN322, near the town hall, turn right. Then turn left onto Place Lavoisier (actually more of a street). Go up the steep path known as Avenue du Cerisier until you reach the road.
(5) Take the uphill path that branches off to the left (Chemin de la Porte du Parc). At the fork, turn right.
(6) At the crossroads, turn right, then immediately left. Continue straight ahead.
(7) When you reach the intersection, turn left. Cross the road and take Chemin du Moulin (narrow) almost opposite. Steep descent to the old Hérivaux mill (13th-century ruins - a beautiful residence is under construction). Note the presence of ponds (fish farming?).
(8) Turn right onto the tarmac road and then, at the crossroads, turn left towards the Château d'Hérivaux (Hérivaux farm), passing in front of a pond. Follow the road that climbs to the right, passing in front of the château (former abbey nearby). There may be horses in the meadow. Walk along the surrounding wall, ignoring a path on the right, and continue to a crossroads.
(9) Turn left towards Grange des Bois. Walk along the edge of the forest and continue to follow it to the right at the first fork (theGR®1diverticulum heads north). Then enter the forest at the second crossroads towards the Grange des Bois crossroads.
(10): After the first crossroads, turn immediately right. At the Mare Landry crossroads, continue straight ahead along the Route des Moines. At the fork, ignore the path that branches off to the left and continue to the next crossroads.
(11) Turn right until you reach the edge of the forest and, when you leave it, turn left onto Chemin des Essarts de Bellefontaine in Survilliers. Pass in front of the model aircraft field (danger signalled when in use).
(12): At the junction, turn right onto the path that leads across the fields and, at the end, turn right onto Avenue de Beaumont. Ignore theGR® trail that branches off to the left at the first junction and continue to the second junction.
(13) Turn left, continue and pass in front of the cemetery. When you reach Vieux-Fosses, follow the street downhill (Rue de la Mairie).
(14) At the crossroads, turn right onto Grande Rue (D922), then take the first street on the left, Rue des Dames. Continue along the path that climbs towards a wood at the end of the street and keep going straight until you reach the crossroads (elevation 134).
(2) Turn left towards the finish, following the same route as on the way there from this point. Return to the car park on Rue Dalanchy (S/E).
