Circular starting from Velaine-sous-Amance towards Cerville and Laneuvelotte.

The hike starts at the church in Velaine-sous-Amance, Rue de Chaud Four, with parking opposite the church.

(S/E) Opposite the church, turn left onto Rue du Chaud Four and leave the village.

(1) At the crossroads, take the small road on the right, Chemin de Romemont, go around the underground gas storage facility and head towards the village of Cerville.

(2) At the entrance to the village, take the first street on the left, Rue des Meix, and in the bend continue along the small lane on the right to reach Rue du Jevena. Turn left to pass behind the church.

(3) At the end of the street, you will arrive in front of the old castle of Cerville. Turn right onto the D83, then right again to pass in front of the church. At the end of the street, continue left along the small alleyway until you reach a street.

(4) Turn right onto Rue de Vilaine and, at the Y-junction, turn left onto Rue de l'Hôpital. In the bend, turn left onto Chemin de Derrière les Jardins and continue straight ahead until you reach the T-junction.

(5) Turn onto the field path going up to the right.

(6) At the end of the path, turn left onto the gravel track and join the small Route de Laneuvelotte.

(7) Turn right onto this road and pass the underground gas storage facility and Voirincourt Castle.

(8) After the hamlet, in the bend, continue straight ahead on the field path, Sentier du Cendrier, and join a track on the right.

(9) Turn onto the first field path on the left and, at the end of the path, take the track on the right, which joins a small road.

(10) Turn right onto it, then follow the first track on the left towards an antenna.

(11) Leave the track and take the field path on the right. At the fence, turn right.

(12) At the X-shaped crossroads, turn left onto the downhill track, Chemin des Montants, and join the Route de Voirincourt.

(13) Turn left onto this road, cross the D674, taking care at the pedestrian crossing to the left of the junction, and arrive at Grande Rue.

(14) Turn right, pass in front of the town hall, then the church and fountain, and continue along this street until you reach the fork after the fountain.

(15) Continue left onto Chemin le Vieux Moulin until you reach the first field path going up to the right.

(16) Turn onto this path and, as you approach the D674, turn left, then right to join it.

(17) Cross it carefully and continue straight ahead on the D86 towards Velaine-sous-Amance, passing in front of the Château de Tremblois and reaching the church car park (S/E).

A small road takes you through the centre of the Storengy underground gas storage site in an aquifer with a capacity of 1,500 million^m³.
