To return to the starting point:
From Pierrefitte-sur-Sauldre, take the D55 towards Salbris, drive 5 km and turn right onto Route du Neuillon for 3.3 km. Park at the entrance to the CR16.
From Nouan-le-Fuzelier, take Rue du Bourg Neuf and continue on Route des Levrys for 4.35 km to reach the CR16. Park at the entrance to the CR16.
(S/E) Start this circular route by taking the CR16 west-southwest, marked with yellow triangles. When you reach a black barrier, veer slightly to the right and continue, ignoring all side roads, until you reach an intersection.
(1) Turn left, following the CR15 signs, and continue along this long road, ignoring all side roads. You will reach a crossroads opposite a long building.
(2) Turn right and leave the CR15 on your left. Follow the VC12, ignore the private road to La Clancheuse and continue straight ahead along the grassy path. At the end of this locality, turn left and follow the CR19, then first turn right then left when you reach a backwater.
(3) Cross the Méant and continue to the right, follow the CR19 marked with a yellow triangle and ignore all minor paths.
(4) Cross a wide path (not shown on the IGN map). Follow the CR19 until you reach an inverted Y-junction. Continue straight ahead on the CR18.
Pass the Manoir des Petits Choux on your right and the CR17bis on your left. Continue straight ahead on the CR18 for about 600 metres.
(5) Turn left onto the CR17, cross a white road and continue along the CR17. Ignore all side roads. Negotiate a sharp left turn and reach a T-junction, then follow the CR17 to the right. Pass Le Grand Nouer on your left and reach the Route du Neuillon.
(6) Turn left, continue for 30 metres and follow the CR17 on the right, Triangle Jaune. Ignore all the paths on the right and left, then pass the hamlet of Les Mélèzes.
(7) Continue until you reach an inverted Y-junction.
(8) Turn left onto the CR13. At the next Y-junction, continue straight ahead on the CR13 and turn right onto the CR17, marked with a yellow circle. Continue for 450 metres until you reach a sign on the right indicating CR17 and CR12.
(9) Turn left onto the CR12. At the following intersections, signs for the CR12 indicate the way to go.
Ignore all side roads, go through a white barrier and reach the CR13, which you will follow for 200 metres to the right.
(10) Turn left onto the CR16, Yellow Triangle, ignoring all side roads until you reach the car park. (S/E)
