Banks of the Creuse in Saint-Gaultier

Park in the car park at Place Henri Hefti.
No signposts.

(S/E) Head towards the Salle des Sports au Sol and take the street on the left (Rue Pierre Canals). Follow it until you reach the church (beautiful houses in the surrounding area). Turn right to pass in front of the church and follow a short stretch of street, then the grassy path that extends it and leads to the banks of the Creuse.

(1) Follow the path on the left.

(2) Pass under a road bridge.

(3) Pass under the old railway bridge. Continue between the gardens and the river. Further on, the path approaches the D134, then ends at the confluence of the Bouzanteuil stream.

(4) Turn around and return to the car park (S/E) via the same route you took on the way there.

Easy hike/walk, comfortable shoes are sufficient if there is no mud along the riverbank.
