Description of the walk

Car park: Town hall square.

(S/E) Walk past the town hall, then behind the school and continue along Allée du 19 Mars 1962, which descends towards a large grassy area.

YellowPR® markings

(1) Turn left, follow the path that veers right and joins Rue Hent Tingoff. Follow this street to the right, cross it and continue left into the Park Ar Menhir residential area. Head left towards the menhirs.

(2) Go around the menhirs, cross the small stone bridge and continue along the well-marked path heading south-east then north-east.

(3) Turn left towards the Kerneven Work Assistance Establishment, walk along the greenhouses and turn left again to go around the buildings. Just before the roundabout, turn right to walk along the street and follow the path on the right that leads to Saint-Philibert Chapel. Walk past the chapel and turn left. Just here, slightly set back, is the fountain, which unfortunately is not signposted.

(4) At the road, follow the road on the right that leads to the Kervouyen farm. Continue along a wide path and note a small fountain on the left that has recently been restored. Continue to reach the Trébé road.

(5) Turn left and follow the road towards the Croix de Trébé. Cross the D20 with caution, then turn right to descend towards L'Odet at Rossulien (direction signs). Cross the car park on the left and descend towards the Moulin de Rossulien without continuing towards the slipway.

(6) Turn right and follow the path, keeping to the left on the river side. You will pass a site marked by a passage on the left of the path. It leads to a rocky outcrop: "Le Saut de la Pucelle". (There are no signs indicating this site, so please be careful as there are no safety barriers). On the opposite bank, you can see another site called "La chaise de l'évêque" (the bishop's chair). Pass the Vire-Court site, where the Odet river forms a sharp bend.

(7) Turn left, go down the steps and cross a wooden walkway. Continue to the car park at Gorré Bodivit and follow the access road to the car park.

(8) At the three-way junction, take the path opposite, which takes you past the entrance to the Château du Pérennou, and continue straight ahead to reach the side road along the D20 called Route des Châteaux.

(9) Turn left and follow this path, which is separated from the road by shrubs. Pass two roads on the left and you will arrive at the Chapelle Saint-Roch (private access).

GR®38Amarkings: White and Red

Worth a visit

Chaise de l'évêque: A rock is called the bishop's chair because it is said that one of the bishops of Quimper liked to go there to rest, meditate and enjoy the scenery.

Le Saut de la Pucelle: A wise young girl, pursued by a very persistent suitor, preferred to throw herself into the Odet rather than lose her honour. A supernatural hand helped her overcome the obstacle unharmed.
The suitor also jumped into the water but perished.

Very beautiful trail with lovely sections. There is one spot where you need to be careful because a tree has fallen.

A very pleasant route, especially in autumn with the colourful foliage. Take particular care when descending the steps at point 7. These are not actually steps but a mixture of wood and stone, which can be very slippery in wet weather.
A very beautiful hike.

Thank you for this comment.
Indeed, the chapel is private: I forgot to mention that.
It has been corrected.
Best wishes for your future endeavours on Visorando.

A very beautiful hike with a stop at the Rossulien mill, which is magnificent now that it has been renovated. The description is almost perfect (the only downside is the St Roch chapel, which is private and where we got a little lost).
