(S) Departure from the car park located in the Bois de Bambe, in front of the park where the trails of the town of Voujeaucourt begin.
Take the trail opposite the car park, leaving the large sign describing the Voujeaucourt walking and hiking trails on your left. Continue for 50 metres, then enter the woods on a trail on the right.
After a slight 50-metre climb, you will come to a junction with a path that branches off at a right angle to the left.
Stop at this intersection and look for a path between the track you were following and the path branching off to the left. It is a narrow and fairly steep path. Take this path.
(1) After a short climb, you will have a nice view of Voujeaucourt and, on your right, you will see the fences of the Belchamp Technical Centre. Follow the path straight ahead, which widens into a beautiful forest road winding through the Bois des Côtes.
(2) At the edge of the woods, at the "stop" sign on the old railway line connecting Voujeaucourt to Saint-Hippolyte, take the path on the left that runs alongside the A36 motorway.
Follow this path and continue along the D438 road through the woods. From this point, you will notice the many tracks left by riders coming from the Éperon equestrian centre.
(3) When you reach a tarmac road, turn left towards the equestrian centre. Take the time to enjoy the view of Mathay with its Comtois bell tower. Follow the yellow and red markings ofthe GR® du Pays de Montbéliard and continue along these markings until you reach Chemin de Turchaux.
(4) Turn left and follow Chemin de Turchaux for 750 metres, following the yellow and blue markings towards La Ferme des Buis.
(5) At the first intersection, turn left, taking the time to admire the beautiful view of Mandeure and its paper mill, recognisable by its large chimney to the left of the church. The path leads to a bridge over the railway line. Cross the bridge and turn right.
(6) 250 metres further on, you will find the railway line on your right. A red EDF pole and a blue triangle on a stand will indicate that you are at the right place. Turn left at right angles to the railway line.
(7) After 175 m on this path, turn right onto the path marked with a yellow rectangle. A yellow cross may indicate that you have passed the path you need to take. Follow the yellow markings, which then turn left to a disused level crossing on the right.
Cross the level crossing.
(8) Immediately on the right is the Côte Roux adventure trail. This is a marked circular trail of about 500 metres. The trail features educational panels, games and wood carvings. There are even benches halfway along the trail.
Once you have completed the fun trail, turn left onto the road that leads you back to the car park 150 metres away.
For safety reasons, walk on the grass to the right of the road. (E)
