Birchgrove Garden Centre Pinchbeck to Surfleet and return via river Glen

Start: Birchgrove Garden Centre on the B1356. (PE11 3XY) Grid ref. TF 246 266

(S/E) Starting turn right out of the garden centre.

(1) Then turn right off the B1136 after 40 metres. Keep on the main lane East then North-East.

(2) After 630m or so, at the junction, turn left.

(3) Then as you approach the B1356 turn right. Keet on this Lane ignoring other ways for around 950m.

(4) At the T-junction turn left and continue until reaching B1356.

(5) At B1356 cross over and turn right to cross the bridge and then proceed recrossing B1356 to get to Surfleet church (A).

(6) Take time out to look at this old church. After visiting the church, return to the waypoint (5) crossing river Glen, and then turn right to follow Macmillan Way along River Glen on your right-hand side.

(7) At the first bridge exit and turn left. Follow the road, not taking side roads until you reach B1356 again.

(1) Turn right and after a short distance cross the road into Birchgrove Garden Centre. (S/E)

Refreshments: At Birchgrove Garden Centre excellent café "Something Special" It is necessary to book if groups is above 4 telephone Carl on 07940 118797. It does get busy but reflects quality and price.
