Surfleet Circular via Peter Seadike Lane

Start: This walk starts in the car park of The Riverside Inn/hotel in Surfleet near Spalding (PE11 4DG) Grid ref. TF 265 229

(S/E) From the car park immediately opposite the Riverside Inn is the footpath and signpost, follow 50 metres over a stile to Station Road, cross straight over and follow the footpath behind houses and across the field before reaching Coalbeach Lane South, bear right.

(1) Cross over the A152, opposite is the Spalding Farm Shop, follow Scodall Lane past Farm Shop on your left for just over a kilometre to the crossroads.

(2) At crossroads turn right and continue for 1/2 a kilometre along Scoldall Lane.

(3) At the next crossroads, turn right onto Peter Seadike Lane and follow this lane for about 2 kilometres to reach the A16.

(4) Carefully cross over this busy road using the pedestrian island. Enter the lane slightly to your left then after 100 metre turn right into Coney Garth Lane. Follow this road 700 metres it then bears sharp left to Newlands Road.

(5) Turn right onto Newlands Road and continue for a kilometre to a T-junction where you turn left, and follow the road for 1.4 kilometres with interesting housing on both sides to reach the A16.

(6) Look carefully for a tarmacked footpath to the left just before reaching A16. Descend and pass under A16 and up again into Riverside Inn car park. If you have booked enjoy meal at Riverside. (S/E)
