Description of the walk

Start: By the side of A591, Near Keswick Retreat Lodge, Cockermouth, (CA13 9SU) Grid ref. NY 207 353

(S/E) From the little car park before Keswick Retreat Lodge, cross the A591 road to pass the gate and take the footpath (North-East) between the fields. When reaching a wall, slightly turn left and then right to go uphill (South-East) to Binsey summit.

(1) At Binsey summit walk continue straight to walk down (South-East) until reaching a road.

(2) At the road turn right (South-West) and keep walking on the road until reaching an intersection of roads after passing the second farm (3 Km).

(3) Turn right (North-West) to reach the A591. At the A591 turn right to walk to the car park. This section in on a busy road with no pavement. (S/E)
