Description of the walk

Start: Side road car park before Scarness Cottage.

(S/E) Just before the Bassenthwaite Lakeside Lodges, take the little footpath on the left that goes down toward the shore of the lake (the lodges should be on your right side on the other side of the fence). Keep straight until reaching the shore.

(1) Turn left to follow the shore in the direction of Bowness Bay. Keep on the path closer to the shore of the lake. (You will find great little beaches to swim during the summer months). Keep walking along the shore to reach Bowness Bay. Then keep straight on the path until reaching a road.

(2) At the road, turn left and keep walking straight to reach the car park (S/E).
