Collantigue hut
Climb up to this beautiful hut, which is in perfect condition. It is closed and private. However, there is a small hut in good condition available below this spot.
Please note: part of the hike is unmarked, so a good sense of direction is necessary.This hike can be done in average snow conditions. However, this requires even better orientation skills.
Plo del Naou
From the Col d'Aspin, this short round-trip hike will take you along the ridges between the Campan and Aure valleys for a superb view of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the Arbizon and the Perdiguère peaks.
Tour of the three villages: Rebouc, Hèches and Héchettes
the route is no longer marked or maintained!between points 4 and 5, there may be sections of around 20 metres of tall grass between June and September, but it remains passable all year round. The path may be muddy 100 metres before point 5.
The circular is accessible on foot or by bike. You will discover Rebouc, Hèches and Héchettes, villages that have remained almost unchanged since 1820-1860, as evidenced by the inscriptions carved in marble on the doors. This route will also allow you to discover the winding and sometimes steep paths that connected each of these villages. Between villages, forests and meadows, the walk will be bucolic!
Bassia ridge
The Crête de Bassia from the Col de Beyrède offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Baronnies de Bigorre to the north and the Pyrenees mountain range from Arbizon to the Pic du Midi de Bigorre to the south.
Payolle - Col d'Aspin loop
Hike offering some beautiful views of Lake Payolle and the Pic du Midi de Bigorre.

Crête de Bidour depuis Lac de Payolle
Cette Crête de Bidour permet de descendre au Col d'Aspin depuis le Plo Del Naou et d'admirer la Vallée d'Arreau.
En certaines périodes estivales, la zone de Payolle et les crêtes du Bidour sont assez fréquentées. Il est bon de démarrer la randonnée tôt.
Payolle - Plo del Naou loop
Hike along trails starting from Payolle, through the forest to the Col d'Aspin, then following the ridges of the Plo del Naou. At the summit, you can enjoy an exceptional panorama of the Campan and Arreau valleys, part of the Pyrenees mountain range, as well as the Pic du Midi de Bigorre and the Arbizon.
Courtaou and Cabane des Esclozes
A lovely, easy hike from the Payolle campsite. This hike can be done on snowshoes.
Le Courtaou near Les Esclozes has been restored. The Les Esclozes hut is maintained. A water supply channel is operational.
This place was once an important settlement, as evidenced by the number of collapsed huts and barns.
The route appears to correspond tothe PR® (no. 19), which is clearly marked in the opposite direction to the description.
Lançon - Gouaux - Grézian loop
This is a beautiful hike, the first part of which takes you through lovely pine forests. You can then admire a superb panorama of the Aure valley on the south side, not to mention the highlight of the show, an incomparable view of the Arbizon.
Circular from the Hourquette d'Ancizan
An easy hike that takes you on a circular route around the Hourquette. Dominant position 70% of the time, some beautiful views, passage at Lac d'Arou (where the cows bathe) and crossing of a few streams.
Important: for this hike, it is best to use "Open Street Map Rando", which offers more trails than IGN. However, it is impossible to get lost as all the landmarks are visible while walking and serve as reference points.
Anglo-Canadian Cemetery - Pic de Douly and Mont Aspet
This hike can be done with or without snow...
On the evening of 13 July 1944, seven British and Canadian airmen from the Royal Air Force took off to resupply the Nistos maquis. The Halifax aircraft crashed into the Pic du Douly. The airmen did not survive and were buried on site. Debris from the aircraft is still visible today. All this calls for silence and contemplation...
Lac de Montarrouye
A short walk through the wilderness, passing close to Courtaou d'Artigussy and Les Esclozes. A few leytès (traditional milk coolers) and building ruins bear witness to the area's former pastoral activity.
In the summer pastures around Tuco
This hike forms a loop around Tuco and in the Gaoube valley. It offers beautiful views of several surrounding valleys. A beautifully restored hamlet has tables and benches for a very pleasant picnic stop. An ideal complement after a few days of hiking in the high mountains!
Banios and Ordincède huts from the Moulette bridge
Hike above Sainte-Marie-de-Campan in the pastoral areas (summer pastures) of the Ordincède massif.
Option to climb up to Haboura 1628 m (Caoutérou) and back from the Cabane de Banios (9).
This hike should only be undertaken in clear weather.
A good sense of direction and the GPX track are necessary to complete this hike correctly.
The Pic de Tourroc
This family hike can be done in summer but also in winter with snowshoes.
There are no difficulties on this route. The hike takes place in shaded undergrowth along a track and then a well-marked path with a steady gradient. Once you reach the summit, you will find a magnificent orientation table and an extraordinary 360° panorama overlooking the Comminges and Barousse mountains and the Tarbes plain.
Belvédère du Mont Né via the Crête de la Pale
Belvédère du Mont Né (Mont Né viewpoint) is a fitting name for this mountain, as the views you will discover throughout this hike are breathtaking. In good weather, this route does not present any major difficulties. What's more, you will start from Port de Balès, a famous stage of the Tour de France.
Mont Né, Lac de Bordères and Pic du Lion from Port de Balès
A beautiful hike that can be done with the family and children who are used to walking, starting from the well-known Port de Balès (altitude 1755 m) (Tour de France cycling race). The summit of Mont Né (altitude 2,147 metres) offers beautiful views of the central Pyrenees and the magnificent Lac de Bordères or Lac de Bareilles. From Pic du Lion (altitude 2,102 metres), there is a safe aerial path along the Crête de la Coume du Lion. The cromlech at Port de Pierrefite is also worth noting.
Lake Bordères (de Bareilles) from the Port de Balès
Easy hike to the Lac de Bordères (Bareilles) via the Port de Pierrefite, with superb views of the Pyrenees.

Granges de Grascouéou from Agos
Magnificent view of the barns, extensive panorama of the Rioumajou Valley, Lustou, the Louron peaks, Hourgade and the village of Saint-Lary-Soulan. On the other side, view of the Plat d'Adet and the Aulon Valley.
Circular at the Cabane d'Auloueilh
A very beautiful hike through the summer pastures of Aulon. Best done after the transhumance so you can enjoy the many herds of cows and sheep. You will pass by huts, walk along and cross streams, and walk through meadows full of flowers.
From Artigues to the Campana de Cloutou refuge
Ascent to the Hourquette de Caderolles, the Col de Bastanet and overnight stay at the Campana de Cloutou refuge.
This first stage is classified as difficult because there is a lot of elevation gain.
Large circular from Les Caneilles to Saint-Lary-Soulan
An easy hike apart from the climb to Sailhan, which is steep but on a good, very passable path.
Yellow markings are faded or non-existent in places, but the Xs indicating the wrong direction are clearly visible.
Du Refuge du Campana de Cloutou à Artigues par le Lac de Montarrouye
This second stage, after spending the night at the Refuge de Campana de Cloutou, returns to Artigues, off the beaten track, with the discovery of the little-known Montarrouye valley.This day is classified as difficult because you need to know how to find your way.
Loop starting from Saint-Lary-Soulan
A balcony route leading from Saint-Lary-Soulan to Tramezaïgues, its Romanesque church, its castle ruins and back via the balcony on the other side of the valley to Vignec.Some pretty views and villages.Note: the hike is called Chemin des Traques by the Tourist Office and is marked in yellow all along the way.
From Saint-Lary-Soulan to Ancizan
The second stage of the Ténarèze, at the bottom of the Aure valley, runs alongside the Neste river through fields. In places, the path widens, suggesting the trace of the old drovers' road, particularly near the Nourde footbridge. A peaceful route that passes through several small rural villages set on a plain ideal for resting herds before the climb to the summer pastures.

Pic du Pichaley via the Bastan lakes
Hike passing by the Bastan lakes to reach Pic du Pichaley, which offers a 360° view.
This hike is accessible to all up to the Bastan refuge, but becomes more difficult after that. The short climb up the Pic du Pichaley is very steep.
Circular in the Larboust Valley and the Oueil Valley
