Circular route through the Grand Bois starting from Buzet-sur-Tarn
This walk starts in Buzet-sur-Tarn, a pretty medieval market town, and winds its way through the Grand Bois, a forest on the opposite bank of the Tarn. After the heights of Roquemaure, the landscape opens up to rolling hills amidst meadows, fields and small woods before descending, still through the Grand Bois, towards Mézens and the Tarn Valley. On a clear day, the Pyrenees to the south will serve as your guide.
From the Tarn to the Mill
A pleasant hike which, after a short climb up the hillside, will take you to a place called Le Moulin, a vanished legacy of the pastry-making tradition. You can imagine the fields of yesteryear and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding countryside before returning to the riverbank.

The Buzet Forest
The Buzet Forest is very pleasant and reserved for walking, horse riding and mountain biking.
Very busy at weekends, it is protected from hunters and offers numerous well-marked trails where it is difficult to get lost. We followed the footpath on the way there and the bridle paths on the way back. The biodiversity centre offers a fun stop for young and old alike.
Magdelaine-sur-Tarn lake circular route
A key route through the fields that combines nature and heritage and allows you to join the Greenway to continue your exploration. An easy walk that ends at the edge of a small lake where you can relax. This circular loop takes you along mostly paved paths, keeping you dry in wet weather. Bring a hat on sunny days!
The viewpoints of Layrac-sur-Tarn
Criss-crossed by a myriad of small streams, the hillsides of Layrac will charm you with their diverse landscapes and numerous vantage points offering views stretching far into the distance on a clear day, all the way to the Pyrenees.

Panorama around Montjoire
This walk offers beautiful 360° views from the Chemin de Ronde de Montjoire. Explore this town, a stronghold of the Cathar resistance, as you walk through fields and along ridge paths.
The Garouille oaks
Through woods and high hills, this route offers several facets of this green hillside with unobstructed views of the surrounding countryside before descending back down to the plain.
Before completing the circular, take a bucolic break in the shade of the three-hundred-year-old oak trees, which have been waiting for you for so long!
From valleys to hillsides from Bondigoux
Climb up to take in the view, give in to the call of the forest, descend into the valley and enjoy the silence.
This route has two variants for descending from the plateau, which form a circular loop within the circular loop for twice the fun!

A touch of the countryside for a gentle, flat route through the fields, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk. This route, which takes in a few quiet roads and sections of wide tracks, can be enjoyed in any season. As you complete the circular route, you’ll have plenty of time to discover a grape variety with real character: the Négrette.

A pleasant route through the countryside north of Rabastens in the Tarn department. No major difficulties
The route crosses several other routes marked in yellow, so the different markings along the route should only be taken as a relative guide.
With the attached map, it is very easy to follow the route.
Circular route from Villemur-sur-Tarn to Bondigoux, via the hillsides
By taking this circular route, you will reach the plateau overlooking Villemur-sur-Tarn with beautiful views of the river, the town and its characteristic buildings before taking the ridge paths that will plunge you into the surrounding rolling countryside.
Filhols loop
A route for skipping merrily across streams and admiring the scenery from above!
Fed by the Garonne, the Tarn flows gently through the surrounding countryside. This long walk takes you along its banks, with hillsides offering exceptional views and shady valleys with discreet streams.
Due to bad weather, the route along the stream has been badly damaged after the (6) (after crossing the D29). However, it remains accessible if you take care.
Lake Laragou in Montpitol
A lakeside walk with no major difficulties. Best done in dry weather as the lake's banks are a little muddy.
