The walk starts in the car park of Épône Town Hall, 90 Avenue du Professeur Émile Sergent.
(S/E) When you leave the car park, turn right onto Avenue du Professeur Émile Sergent, then take thesecond left onto Rue Édouard Jumantier, which turns left. Continue right onto Rue de la Brèche until you reach the church, ignoring Rue d'Antar on your left.
(1) Take Rue du Pavé on the right until you reach the entrance to the castle grounds.
(2) Enter the park and take the path on the right to reach the Temple de David. Walk a few metres to the left of the temple to climb a small staircase and immediately turn left to return to the park entrance after passing the Bergerie on your left.
(2) At the park exit, turn right onto Rue du Pavé, walk past the Résidence du Château and, at the bend, continue straight ahead onto Chemin aux Étoiles (white and red markings on a no-entry sign). Continue to the D130, ignoring the side roads.
(3) Cross the road carefully and turn right into Rue de la Villeneuve (white and red markings). Walk past a school, then turn right at the fork to reach a roundabout. Cross it and take Rue des Roberdes. Just after number 17, turn left onto a small path, cross Rue Auguste Renoir and continue along the path.
(4) At this fork in the road, take the right-hand path which leads into a small wood. Just after the last house on the left, cross a crossroads and ignore all the small paths on either side to stay on the wide path which turns left, running alongside a field on the right.
(5) At this crossroads, turn right, ignore a path on the right and then, at the next crossroads, turn left. At the T-junction, turn right and do the same at the next one. Continue straight ahead to come out a little further on into a street.
(6) Turn right onto Grande Rue, which descends and turns left (yellow markings) to Rue Nationale, where you turn right.
(7) Immediately turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine Lubin, leave Rue Furet on your left, then at the end, continue along a path (yellow markings) to reach a tarmac road. Turn left after the houses and continue to the church.
(8) Turn right onto Rue Nationale. Take thefirst right onto Rue Émile Zola, then follow the path that continues along it. At the junction with Ruelle des Crons, turn right and go up the Chemin des Crons, marked in yellow, across a field.
(9) Pass a water tank on your right and continue straight ahead on thePR® until you reach a street. Continue to a T-junction, where you will turn left onto Rue du Fourneau.
(10) Cross the D130 with caution and climb a staircase to reach Chemin des Sources, which you will take on the left. Pass by a wash house and continue along Rue des Ligneux until you reach number 31.
(11) Immediately after, turn right onto a path that curves to the left. Continue until you pass a green metal gate on your left and take the small passageway opposite that leads to a wall. Go down to the left until you reach a fork, turn right to walk along a wall on your right and you will come out onto Rue des Sous Boutillettes. At the next crossroads, keep right and follow Rue de la Brèche until you reach the church.
(1) Turn left. Then follow Rue Fournier to the left until you reach Avenue du Professeur Émile Sergent. Cross the avenue and follow it to the left until you reach the Town Hall car park on your right. (S/E).
