Departure from the car park at the foot of William the Conqueror's castle.
(S/E) Go around the castle to the west to reach the Fontaine d'Arlette fountain.
(1) Then take the grassy path along the Relay. You can see the ramparts of the town and the castle.
Continue on to see one of the city gates and cross the street to take the Venelle de la Pépinière.
Walk along the right-hand side of the pond and cross the road using the pedestrian crossing. Follow Chemin des Oliviers to Saint-Laurent de Falaise Church
(2). Turn right and, about twenty metres further on, turn left to see the small wash house. Then climb the Saint-Laurent hill to see the Lecomte gate
(3). Go back down and turn right onto Route d'Eraines. Turn right after the small river and walk up through the park to Château de la Fresnaye.
(4) Join Rue Georges Clémenceau and cross the bridge over the moat to see the Hôtel Saint-Léonard. Cross the street and walk along the ramparts behind the "Le Forum" theatre. Then turn right into Rue du 9ème Arrondissement de Paris to reach Place Belle-Croix.
Cross this square diagonally to reach Rue de la Trinité, then Rue Rollon, and turn left under the porch of a building to reach the Church of the Holy Trinity and its porch. Pass under the porch and walk along the left side of the church to reach its entrance and the statue of William the Conqueror.
Cross the square towards the courtyard of William the Conqueror's castle and visit it if you feel like it.
(5) Return to the square and turn right to go around the Town Hall. Turn right again to return to the car park where you started (S/E).
