Park at the Étang des Rochers or take the bus from Sion to the Étang des Rochers.
(S/E) Follow the road above the Étang des Rochers then continue on flat ground along the Chemin de la forêt plane.
(1) At the end of the road on your right, a small path descends into the forest. Follow this path downhill, pass in front of the pond and turn left. Continue along this path, following the small bisse.
(2) Further down, turn left. Then take a short walk through the forest along a bisse.
(3) At the end of this path, turn right and go down the gravel path. Continue along this road lined with fields until you reach the main road.
(4) Turn left and immediately take the path that descends to your right after the car park. Continue along this path and turn right when you reach the bottom of the small descent. The path then continues on flat ground with a magnificent view of the Rhône plain. At the end of this road is the main road.
(5) Walk along it on the right for a few metres and then turn right onto a footpath.
Another flat path awaits you, leading back to the road. Turn left and follow the road for a while until you reach another path that leads off to the left (note that this is not the first path that descends to the left, but the second one that leads off flat).
Continue along this path and, once you reach the end of the road, turn slightly right and then left.
At the end of the road, turn right onto the gravel hill until you reach the main road
(6). Turn right and follow the main road. Be careful, as cars drive fast and there is no pavement on this stretch. Continue to your starting point, "Étangs des rochers" (S/E).
