Departure from the Clos stadium, Avenue du Clos.
(S/E)With the stadium behind you, leave the Clos housing estate, take Route de Saint-Tropez on the left, go under the motorway bridge, and you will soon come to a crossroads.
(1) Turn left onto Chemin de la Rourède. At the three-way junction, keep left ontoChemin de la Rourède, East, and you will arrive at the fork with the road bridge on your left.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin de Roucas Troucas and you will reach Chemin de la Rourède on your right (return).
(3) Continue straight ahead and follow this small road. Pass Chemin du Lavandin and take thesecond road on the right.
(4) Take it and follow the stony, rutted track.
(5) At the crossroads, take the track on the left and continue straight ahead until you reach a road.
(6) Continue left on the road (D72), pass over the small bridge marked with blue and white signs, and join the bridge over the Aille.
(7) Continue on the D72, crossing the Pont de l'Aille bridge, then, in the left-hand bend, take the E85 track that descends to the right.
(8) Cross the ford and continue on the stony track heading south until you reach a fork a few metres before the vineyards.
(9) Turn left and continue to the next fork, where you will see a fire hydrant.
(10) Take the track at 90° to the right, ignore the secondary tracks on either side, and follow it to the Route de la Mourre.
(11) Follow it to the right (D74) and arrive at a crossroads just after the Christol farmhouse.
(12) Continue left onto Chemin des Plaines, drive for about 1 km, and find a road on the right (return).
(13) Continue along the road until the end of Chemin des Plaines.
(14) Take the hairpin bend to the right (D558, Route du Luc) and follow it to the car park on the left, about 100 metres before the next visible crossroads.
(15) From the car park, there are several tracks leading to the lake. Take the one on the left, heading south-west, which climbs slightly. Continue to the next junction.
(16) Turn left, heading south, until you reach the junction marked by yellow and red signs.
(17) Take the DFCI track on the left and arrive at a four-way intersection.
(18) Continue straight ahead on the track, which narrows to a path, until you reach a ford.
(19) Depending on the water level and erosion, you may or may not need to dismount your bike. Climb up the other side of the valley for a short distance and continue on the narrow path until you reach the next ford.
(20) Continue along the path, which widens and gradually becomes less overgrown with grass and trees. Continue until you reach a barrier.
(21) Go through the gate, going around it on the left, and at the next crossroads, at the corner of the vineyards, turn right onto the Piste de la Tire, which is signposted. Continue straight ahead to the Escarcets car park.
(22) Take the botanical trail on the right that runs alongside the road and leads to the Saint-Doumas valley.
(23) Just before the valley, continue along the botanical trail and walk a few hundred metres back and forth to enjoy the natural surroundings.
(23) On your return, climb up the embankment to rejoin the D558 and follow the road to the right until you reach the first crossroads.
(24) Turn left onto the D48 towards Vidauban and, just after the bridge, take the path that branches off to the right, over large flat rocks, which is not very well marked. Follow it and you will soon come to a dirt track.
(25) Continue right towards Les Plaines for about 500 m.
(26) At the three-way junction, keep left and you will arrive at the road you have already passed.
(13) Turn left and retrace your steps. Cross the bridge over the Aille and follow the D72 to Chemin de la Bastide de Castel, just after the small bridge, marked by blue and white signs.
(6) Take this road and take thefirst sandy and stony track on the left. At the hamlet of Einesi, the track becomes earth, then grass and then stony again. Continue north-west until you rejoin the road you came on.
(3) Ignore Chemin de la Rourède, cross the small bridge and turn left. Follow the same route as on the way there until you reach the stadium, Avenue du Clos (S/E).
