Park near the Saint-Sebastien Chapel in Dambach-la-Ville.
(S/E) Take the path through the vineyards, following the blue disc signposts westwards. You will reach the Bibelefelsen rock.
(1) Continue climbing the path. Arrive at the ruins of Bernstein Castle. You can visit the castle.
(2) Continue along the path, climbing through the forest towards the west (marker 547). The path loops south-west before heading towards the Bellevue rock. Take a short detour of a few metres to enjoy the view.
(3) Retrace your steps and continue along the trail, heading northwest then west, following the summit of the massif. Arrive at the Stangenberg crossroads.
(4) Take the path straight ahead marked with a yellow disc heading southwest and continue along the summit to reach Rocher du Hagelstein.
(5) Continue along the path, which begins to descend towards the south-west. You will reach Falkenstein rock. It is possible to climb this rock. Continue down the path to reach Gallienstein rock.
(6) Continue descending in a south-westerly direction until you reach the Brischbach crossroads.
(7) Turn left onto the tarmac road, which is the Ancienne Route du Sel (Old Salt Road), still marked with yellow discs. You will come to a large crossroads.
(8) Turn left onto the trail towards the castles, climbing into the forest (red disc signposted north-west then north-east). You will arrive at the ruins of Ramstein Castle (not open to visitors).
(9) Continue along the trail towards Ortenbourg Castle in a north-easterly direction. You will reach the ruins of Ortenbourg Castle. Visit the castle ruins.
(10) Continue along the trail (red rectangle,GR®5heading north). Reach the Kriegshurst crossroads.
(11) Take the steep path on the right (yellow disc heading east).
(12) Pass through Kaltenberg, a small viewpoint. Continue along the path heading north. Reach the Wiebach crossroads.
(13) Continue along the path heading east, then turn left at the next intersection heading north to the chapel (yellow disc - yellow cross) (S/E).
