The route starts from the Dambach-la-Ville railway station
(S) Turn right towards the level crossing. Then turn left and keep right onto Rue du Collège, heading towards the school. Pass a junction to reach the bend.
(1) Continue left, then left again. Carry on until the third path on the right.

Then take the second path on the left. Make a sharp 90° turn to reach the Route des Vins.
(3) Turn right, then follow the first track on the right. Cross the stream and continue to the next junction.

(4) Take the path on the left.

When you rejoin the Wine Route, turn right until you reach a square and a fountain.

(5) First turn right then left to join a path running between the properties, then alongside the vineyards. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the road. Keep left until you reach the Wustberg cross.
(6) Take the path to the right of the cross and keep to the right all the way to Nosthalten.
(7) Follow the road to the left. Pass the church and continue along the same path until you reach the bend with a fountain on the left.
(8) Stay on the path to the right of the fountain. Take a left-hand bend.

Then turn right onto the first track. You will reach a wood.
(9) Cross over to a road.

(10) Keep right, cross the stream and head straight up the hill. At the road, continue straight on to the viewpoint.
Continue along a wide path to the right of the viewpoint (with your back to it). Take two bends, then keep right before heading straight on to the third junction.

(11) Turn left towards the main road.
(12) Stay on the path leading straight ahead, between the B-roads (east). Then keep left on each track until you reach the road again. Cut across the road and go to the end of the path at a place called Trautmann.
(13) Head down to the right along the track to the houses at Eichhoffen. Continue down to the right along Rue du Vignoble. Turn left twice until you reach the church.

(14) Turn sharply left towards Andlau. Keep going straight ahead until you reach the church and its cemetery.
(15) Continue to the next junction.

Head downhill to the right, then keep immediately to the right. Cross a junction and continue to Andlau.
(16) Keep to the right before going up the next path on the left (Rue des Pélerins).

Follow the path to its end.

(17) First turn left then right, towards Mittelbergheim, and stay on the path on the right until the first downhill track.
No signposting
(18) Take this track. At the wash house, head almost straight ahead. Then first turn left then right, and left again at the end. Keep going straight ahead until you reach the church.
(19) Follow the path uphill to a four-way fork in the road. Turn right towards the cemetery. Walk past the cemetery until you reach the fork in the road.
Green Saltire
Stay on the path until you reach Barr. Once you reach the first houses, continue straight ahead for three junctions. You’ll arrive at the fourth (traffic lights) at the Avenue des Vosges.
(20) Head down to the right until you reach Chemin du Hasenhof (second junction).
(21) Take this path to the left, then keep left, and turn right towards the Grand’ Rue.
(22) Follow this road to the end. Turn right, continue straight on past a fountain, and keep going straight on until you reach the steps: take these to reach the church.

(23) Turn right at the church, then cross a road. Follow an uphill track to the memorial stone dedicated to a founding member of the Club Vosgein.

(24) Head down into the forest on the right until you reach the road.

Follow it to the left until you reach the track.
(25) Follow the track uphill and, at the Fork in the road, continue uphill. Then keep to the right at a 90° angle until you reach the first houses in Heiligenstein.
(26) Continue straight ahead.

Then turn right.

Keep left onto Rue du Rott, then right onto Chemin du Moemkalb. At the junction, keep straight ahead until you reach Rue des Châteaux.

(27) Head downhill to the right. Pass three paths on the left, and take the fourth one to the A-road.

Turn left, pass the town hall and continue to the junction.
(28) Head down to the right along Rue Ehret Wantz. Take the first left, Chemin du Wolfshaus, to the end of the road.

Turn right onto Rue Principale and continue to the bench.

(29) With your back to the bench, take the path opposite. Follow it to the end, along a track, at a place called Bückler.
(30) Continue left, then straight on twice until you reach a Fork in the road. Turn left, then right onto a road. Take a bend and continue to a junction.
(31) Leave the road to the left. Keep following the track straight ahead until you reach the stream. Cross it and, when you see the vineyards, turn left towards an industrial estate.
(32) Follow the road on the right and, at the end of it, continue straight on towards the village. Carry on straight ahead until you reach the well on the right. Keep going straight on until you reach the town hall.

(33) Continue along the street to the left of the town hall. Take the first left, then turn right at Freiberg, until you reach a four-way junction.

(34) Head straight ahead to join the main road.
(35) Cross very carefully and continue along the track on the other side. At the crossroads, keep right, then right again at the end of the track to reach the entrance to Obernai.
(36) Turn left onto Route d’Ottrott, passing a ruined church, and arrive at a roundabout.
(37) Take the second exit. Continue straight on until you reach the town hall and the belfry (E).
