Park in the car park at Place Ambroise de Loré.
This route is signposted as No. 31 on the yellow directional signs.
(Out and back) Walk up Rue Henri IV (passing the Tourist Office) to Place Hubert II de Beaumont. Head down Rue de la Belle Étoile on the right; as you go, take in the view of the hamlet of La Rivière.
(1) At the top of Chemin de la Red Cross, head down to the right through a narrow passage between two walls onto Chemin des Vignes.
(2) Cross the D7 and, after 300 m, turn left at the top of the Chemin des Fossettes until you reach the first junction. Please note: at the hamlet of La Croix Couverte, drainage works are currently underway. The area will be very wet from October 2023 to March 2024.
(3) Turn right onto the Lézardière, go round the Pertuisière pond and continue left then right until you reach the D520.
(4) Follow the D560 towards St Léger-Ste Suzanne for a few metres, then the D9 towards Livet-en-Charnie for a few metres before turning right onto Chemin de la Gravelle until you reach the D7.
(5) Follow the “No. 31” signposting on the yellow directional signs. Take care at the very dangerous stretch along the D7 towards Evron for 150 metres before reaching safer ground on the Chemin du Grand Beaulieu towards Château Neuf and the Camp des Anglais.
(6) Cross the Camp des Anglais or Camp de Beuguy. Exit the Camp des Anglais on the left, onto the D143 coming from Assé-le-Bérenger, then quickly turn right onto the Route du Bocage, leading to the Chemin de la Grande Paroisse.
(7) Turn left onto this road. Further on, continue through the tunnel under the new bypass. Emerge onto the Chemin de Poil de Brebis; follow this road and then turn left onto the Chemin de la Madeleine. Continue right onto Rue du Camp des Anglais to return to the starting car park at Place Ambroise de Loré (S/E).
