The car park is located in Guebwiller: Take Rue de la République to the small car park on Rue du Liebenberg, below the Solisana clinic at the intersection with Chemin de l'Érmite.
(S/E) Walk up Rue du Liebenberg. After the clinic, turn right onto Chemin du Château, marked with a blue triangle. At the top of the hill, turn slightly left towards Hugstein Castle.
(1) At the château, there is a beautiful view towards Guebwiller and Buhl. Continue towards Buhl (marked with a blue triangle). When you reach the road, turn right down Rue de la Tuilerie, then left onto Rue du Florival. Further on, turn left onto Rue de l'Église. At the three-way junction, follow the road to the right and climb the steps leading to the church.
(2) Go around the church on the left, cross the small car park and take Rue du Schrangen, which starts slightly to the left. Red triangle markings. Continuing along this road, take the path for a few dozen metres until you find a trailhead on the left.
(3) Leave the red triangle markings and take the path that heads to the left. Follow it straight ahead until you reach a wide carriageway. Take it to the left. Stay on this road (avoid the relatively steep descent to the left, marked with a blue disc) and, once you reach the road, follow it to the left for about 200 metres until you reach the Saint-Barnabé restaurant.
(4) With your back to the restaurant, head towards Buhl along the flat, carriageway starting opposite. At the end of this road, before the cemetery, turn right at the crossroads with Rue de Bruel. Ignore thefirst street on the right and, a few dozen metres further on, take the next street on the right (right angle).
(5) When you reach the pond, go around it on the right, then take a small path on the left, cross the stream and climb the stairs to the road. Follow the road to the left for about 50 metres, cross it and take the Red-White-Red marked path that branches off to the right (Chemin du Judenhut). Follow it until you come to a path marked with a yellow disc.
(6) Take it to the left towards Hochkopf. When you reach a beautiful plateau, the path descends to the right (yellow disc; signposted Hochkopf / Bildstoeckle / Guebwiller). Keep to the left, leaving the path that leads straight to the summit of Hochkopf. After the descent, you will arrive at a carriage road.
(7) Take it to the right (towards Hugstein). Follow this path downhill. After a few hundred metres, leave the red-white-red markings and take the path on the right, heading south. It arrives at a crossroads in a bend just after crossing a ditch.
(8) Ignore the paths on the right and continue around the bend to the left, heading north-east, to rejoin the red-white-red marked path further on. Continue straight ahead to reach the car park at the start (S/E).
