The walk starts before the entrance to the Grands Goulets tunnel in the village of Les Baraques en Vercors (parking is available nearby).
(S/E) Take the track that climbs towards Les Buissières (signpost). Continue along the path, which first climbs through the forest and then through pastures (passing by a dilapidated-looking farm). At the crossroads, when the path rejoins the forest, take the right-hand fork (still towards Les Buissières).
(1) At Les Buissières (abandoned barn), take the very small path on the right that joins the forest road (watch out for nettles) and continue along this road to Hameau du Bard. Continue along the houses until you reach the small road, which you will need to follow for a few hundred metres (be careful, as there is some traffic).
(2) At the hairpin bend, take the path straight ahead that leads into the forest. Cross this magnificent pine forest towards Bobache (be careful on the last steep descent before the road). Join the road and follow it for a few dozen metres towards Bobache (towards Les Barraques).
(3) Cross the bridge over the Vernaison at the pumping station, then take the path on the right that climbs gently through the fir trees and overlooks the river.
(4) At the first fork, take the path on the right and continue along it until you reach the D518.
(5) At the Chapelle-en-Vercors road (D518), continue to the right (watch out for cars, especially in the bend before you reach the Hôtel des Goulets) and you will reach the starting point (S/E).
