Gorges du Verdon - Sentier Blanc-Martel
A beautiful walk up the Verdon by its bed ! A feast for the eyes from start to finish !
⚠️The Sentier Martel is not very difficult for regular walkers, but you have to be careful. However, the trickiest part is the Imbert ladders (6 ladders, 252 steps), which are difficult for hikers prone to vertigo.
The difference in altitude is overestimated. See comments at the bottom of this page
A short, refreshing route in the village of Comps-sur-Artuby.
This short route in Comps-sur-Artuby offers a change of scenery, with an almost mountainous atmosphere in its short forest section. Magnificent views of the river gorges (the Artuby) and the impressive cliffs, at the top of which you can look for chamois. Vultures can often be seen gliding overhead.
Gorges du Verdon – Blanc-Martel Trail via the Estellier footbridge
A magnificent hike starting from the Chalet de la Maline, following the Verdon riverbed upstream to the road at Saut du Baou (Couloir Samson car park), with two short extensions: one towards the superb Estellier footbridge, downstream at the foot of La Maline at the start of the route, and the other towards the beautiful Verdon/Artuby confluence at La Mescla.
The Bargème Mill and the Artuby
A lovely walk from Bargème and its castle to the banks of the Artuby with its turquoise waters. You will enjoy splendid views of the surrounding area as far as Mont Coudon. Part of the walk is in the sun (take care in summer) and part is in the woods (very pleasant).

Starting from the charming village of Valderoure, this route with its varied landscapes will take you through a pine forest to the hamlet of Les Beaux. After crossing the Lane and Artuby rivers, you will pass through the hamlet of Malamaire before returning to Valderoure, still in the forest.

Gueydan Bridge – Entrevaux via the summit of La Lette
A beautiful, challenging route that keeps you on the ridgelines. The C-shaped configuration of the Var means that throughout this ascent you can admire the river’s banks on both the north and south sides. At the end of the hike, wander through the narrow streets lined with old walls in this magnificent village.
