Description of the walk

Start: Main road to Loweswater village. 

(S/E) Walk on the main road that follow Loweswater lake towards the village of Loweswater (south-west). Keep walking on the road until seeing a little road on the right going to Maggie's Bridge. 

(1) Turn right, and walk to Maggie's Bridge. At the little car park keep straight to reach the start of the Loweswater lake. Continue straight along the shore of the lake until arriving at Hudson Place farm. 

(2) Exit the farm and walk towards Waterend. At the end of the slope, turn right on the little path by the gate to enter the field. Walk through the fields to reach the road and car park (S/E).

  3. 2 : km 5.42 - alt. 157 m - Exit the farm and turn right to enter the fields
  4. S/E : km 5.89 - alt. 134 m - Car park before Loweswater lake

Car park: along the road just after the houses, Loweswater, Cockermouth CA13 0SU, Free

Terrain: road, forest tracks and field path

Dog friendly: Yes but can have livestocks in the fields.
