Departure from Ardouval Church Square.
(S/E) Leave the church square and turn right onto Rue des Bouleaux. Continue along this street, passing the town hall on your left. After the town hall, continue straight ahead until you reach the junction with Rue des Lilas.
(1) Take Rue des Lilas on your right and follow this street until you reach the junction with Rue du Cordier. Turn left and continue straight ahead towards the Eawy Forest.
(2) At the entrance to the forest, take the path on your left along the edge of the forest. Continue along the edge of the forest until you reach the second street on your left, Rue des Cèdres.
(3) Turn left onto this street and follow it straight ahead to the end. After the last house on your right, turn onto the path just after it that descends to join the Route de Bellencombre.
(4) Turn right and continue along this road. Turn left onto the first forest path that goes uphill. Go up the path that turns right and continue to a crossroads. Continue along the left-hand path and go straight on to reach the D99, Route de la Heuze, at the end.
(5) Turn left onto the D99 and follow it to the Val Ygot V1 site.
(6) Feel free to take a break to explore this historic site by following the Discovery Trail. After your visit, return to the departmental road and continue left for about 200 metres.
(7) Leave the road and take the Val Ygot forest path on your right. Continue straight ahead on this path downhill until you reach the junction with the D97.
Take this road on your left and immediately turn onto the Essarts forest path on your left. Continue straight ahead on this uphill path until you reach the junction with the D99, Route de la Heuze.
(8) Cross the D99 and take the Route des Essarts (Pommeréval) opposite. Follow this road and, at the last house, turn left onto a communal path (not shown on the IGN map). At the junction, turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach a T-junction with a wider dirt track.
(9) Turn right onto the dirt track, which becomes a tarmac road, Chemin du Saloir. Continue along this road across the plain, ignoring the road on the left, and you will reach the village of Ardouval, Route de Bellencombre.
Turn right onto Route de Bellencombre and follow it to the crossroads.
(10) Cross the crossroads and take the street on your left, Rue des Peupliers. At the next crossroads, turn left into Rue des Bouleaux to reach Place de l'Église, which will be on your right (S/E).
