Park your vehicle in the car park at Jardin du Roi de Rome.
(S/E) Take the path on the right marked 'Talou'. Follow it for 1 km until you reach a crossroads.
(1) The main path branches off to the left. Take the small path on the right at a 90° angle. It can be seen between two rows of trees that are almost aligned, to the right of plot 263.
Continue along the path for 1 km heading north and you will arrive at the Ventes Saint Rémy forest path. (wear trousers)
(2) At the intersection, turn right onto the Route Forestière des Ventes-St-Rémy and continue for 1 km.
You will arrive at an intersection with the D12
(3) Take the Route du Val de Grès, which climbs up to the left (signposted).
Follow the road for 500 m. It gives way to a path.
(4) At the edge of the forest, after the last house, turn right onto the path that runs along the edge. You will arrive at a tarmac road, "Impasse de la Chapelle". Continue along the road at the edge of the woods.
(5) Take the path on the left, which is marked in yellow, circuit number 1. The number 352 of the ONF plot is marked on a tree.
(6) At the intersection with the D118, cross over and take the path that runs along the Ventes-Saint-Rémy plain until you reach a road. Cross over and take the path opposite that branches off to the left, marked as Chemin des Écoliers. Follow this path for 300 metres until you reach Les Carcahoux.
(7) Turn 90° to the left. At the first intersection, take the road opposite on the right and 50 m further on, do the same. At the signpost on the ferns, continue straight ahead. You will reach the D118.
(8) Cross and continue along the path that runs alongside Camp Souverain. This is the Botanical Trail.
(9) At the crossroads, cross the path leading to Camp Souverain, turn left and continue along the Chemin des Écoliers for 400 metres.
(10) Leave the Chemin des Écoliers, turn left at a 90° angle to cross the Route Forestière de Bully and take the Puits Merveilleux trail opposite.
Once at the chasm, take the path on the right that joins the Route Forestière des Limousins
(11) Turn right, cross the Route Forestière de Bully and follow the Chemin des Limousins, turning left after 250 metres.
(12) Follow the Chemin des Dames Blanches for 1 km.
(13) When you reach the intersection, take the Route Forestière du Grimplet on your right. Follow this path for over 1 km, cross the Route Forestière des Limousins again and continue straight ahead. After 250 m, continue straight ahead on the small path opposite, then turn right at a 90° angle. You will arrive at Camp Souverain.
(14). Take the path on the left to reach the crossroads at Les Carcahoux.
(7) All you have to do now is continue straight ahead to reach the car park at the starting point (S/E).
