A very varied family walk with beautiful views of Lake Serre-Ponçon. Waterfalls, pretty forest with beautiful clearings, canal along which you walk and two small abandoned hamlets.

Many walks are signposted from Les Gourniers. But not the one to Lac de Laus. You will therefore encounter very few other walkers. A walk that begins through mountain pastures, in the shade in the morning, before turning onto a fairly wild mountain-side path. The slopes are steep and offer impressive views, without being vertiginous.

Hike along the Reyssas irrigation canal. To maintain a steady gradient, the canal passes through some unlikely and beautiful places. Admire the work of our ancestors. Discover abandoned farms. Hike through the forest, including a majestic larch grove. Beautiful views of Lake Serre-Ponçon. This hike requires a bit of agility (crossing the Coulet torrent) and balance (walking on a narrow path along the canal). From 12 years old.

A very varied hike. Larch woods, a circular path with views over the Embrunais region, Lake Serre-Ponçon; the Bragousse cirque and its Demoiselles, not forgetting the Col de la Rousse and its mountain pastures, and the Pic de Charance with its view of the Morgon cirque.An alternative to the very busy ascent of the Grand Morgon. Here you may spot marmots and chamois (for the keen-eyed).

From Souliers, a pretty hamlet in the Queyras, a family hike to Lac Souliers. From there, take a detour via Pic Ouest, at the end of Côte Belle, for its magnificent panoramic view overlooking the Col d’Izoard.

This is a small lake nestled in the heart of the Écrins National Park. This circular route passes above the Pisse waterfall and climbs through cow pastures to Lac du Distroit. The return route takes you through the sheep pastures of the Rabioux Valley and ends after passing under the Pisse waterfall. Numerous chamois. Another way to discover Embrun. Walk on the rock from the viewpoint, then under the rock with its gardens and canals, a short detour to discover the Durance before completing the circular route in Embrun via the cathedral, the Maison des Chanonges, and the Tour Brune.

Mont Orel overlooks Embrun. It is reached via the Col de la Coche. A walk along the peaks to the crosses. Magnificent views over the stretch of Lac de Serre-Ponçon, the surrounding valleys and the Écrins in the distance. A gentler descent via the Pra Leydon chapel. A hike that ends with a contemplative stroll through the Saluces Forest. A very quiet hike, apart from a few chamois at the summit.The only slight difficulty is spotting the cairns in the mountain pastures.

A family hike to discover the historical and military past of Le Roc, on which the town of Embrun was built. Bring your binoculars.

An easy round-trip hike that takes you along the Torrent de Reyssas, where you can dip your feet just before the pretty Vallon de la Beaume. At the end of the route, you can continue on to the Col de Reyssas or Lac Brun (about 1 hour each), or even towards the Col de Trempa-Latz.Please note: mountain pastures. A family walk suitable for children aged 10 and over, exploring two abandoned hamlets and two tunnels. The trail offers several views of the Ubaye branch of Lake Serre-Ponçon. Games and challenges, hidden inside tubes, are dotted along the route as part of the Sens’action activities. The route also passes through unspoilt natural areas classified as Natura 2000 sites.

Starting from the Grand Vallon, the route climbs to the Col de Girabeau before reaching the legendary Parpaillon Tunnel (currently sealed off). The route offers sweeping panoramic views and is a lovely, nature-filled alternative to the Piste de Crévoux, which is very busy with motor vehicles in summer.
