Pic de Courmettes via the Saint-Barnabé plateau and Puy de Tourettes.
A superb hike starting in the karstic and ruiniform landscapes of the Saint-Barnabé plateau. You will walk between deep sinkholes and the limestone chaos of the "village nègre" (black village). The peaks of Puy de Tourettes and Pic de Courmettes offer splendid panoramic views.

A very beautiful hike through the rugged terrain of the Menton hinterland. An easy climb to three peaks offering superb views and a varied landscape.
Circular via Caussols, Calern and Cavillore from Gourdon.
A magnificent hike through the wild karst landscapes of the Grasse Pre-Alps. As a bonus, there is a section on a well-preserved Roman road.

A lovely, easy forest hike. Some beautiful views of the surrounding peaks.
Route of the Balconies of the Daluis Gorges
A superb hike offering stunning panoramic views of the Nice region’s ‘Colorado’. This hike can be completed in one or two days, with an overnight stay at the Roua campsite (see practical information).
The Tête de Chien tour
A magnificent promontory overlooking the Mediterranean, Tête de Chien offers sublime panoramic views at the cost of moderate effort.
Roudoule Circular Loop
A very beautiful walk that allows you to explore the little-known Roudoule valley and its red rocks, typical of this part of the Alpes-Maritimes. This walk offers a mix of woodland and mid-mountain alpine pastures, as well as wild gorges and canyons.
From Restefond to Sestrière via Cime de la Plate and Col de la Braïssa
A very beautiful high-mountain hike at the foot of Cime de la Bonette between the Alpes Maritimes and Alpes de Haute Provence. Very little traffic. Magnificent, rocky landscape. The upper Braissette lake is a very beautiful spot for bivouacking.
Balcony and Cime de Marta from Colle Melosa
A magnificent, easy hike straddling Italy and France. Superb panoramic views of the Nervia Valley and the Ligurian Alps, then the Roya Valley and the peaks of the Mercantour. On a clear day, you can see Mont Viso and Corsica.
Razet Route
A beautiful hike in the hills between Menton and Sospel offering magnificent views of the sea, Corsica on a clear day, and the peaks of the Mercantour. The old village of Castillon is steeped in history. It was devastated by an earthquake in 1887 and then razed to the ground by Allied forces in 1944.
Colles Planes via the Cians ledges
A magnificent round-trip hike offering views overlooking the Gorges du Cians and their red schist cliffs. Stunning views throughout the route. Plenty of flowers, including a few martagon lilies in early June. The final section of the route is off-trail but presents no difficulty in finding your way by sight.
Tour of Monte Aver
A superb hike on the Italian side of the Col de la Lombarde, revealing magnificent high-mountain landscapes and stunning emerald-green lakes. Abundant wildlife (ibex, chamois, marmots) and flora. Please note that the ascent to the Col d’Aver includes exposed and vertiginous sections. This is why I have classified it as difficult, even though there is no real danger. This hike is therefore not recommended for children or those prone to vertigo.
