Description of the walk

The hike starts at the Col de Ségra via the Col des Banquettes, coming from Sainte-Agnes or Peille. A few parking spaces on the right-hand side of the road.

(S/E) From the car park, head to marker 125, just a few metres away.

(1) Then set off along the lovely path through the deciduous woodland, which climbs gently at first towards the south-east, then up a steeper slope for a few dozen metres towards the west, heading for the Baisse du Loup.

(2) At marker 126, turn right onto a wide, easy path that skirts around Mont Ours to the north. This path becomes a concrete track at marker 128. Continue to the summit of Mont Ours with its antennas and fortification ruins. After admiring the 360° view, head back down towards marker 129.

(3) Then head south down a fairly steep and stony path towards the Col des Banquettes, until you reach a farm and a track where marker 472 is located.

(4) Turn onto the wide track to the left towards the Col de Verroux.

(5) At marker 469, continue straight on towards the Col de Verroux.

(6) At marker 446, continue along the track which climbs south-south-west towards the Pointe de Siricocca and its panoramic view of the Mediterranean.

(7) Turn back and cross the Col de Verroux.

(6) Continue to marker 469.

(5) Take the path on the right which winds its way up towards Pic de Garuche and Baisse du Loup.

(8) At marker 474, turn right to climb up to Pic de Garuche to admire the view from the summit bunker.

(9) Turn back to marker 474.

(8) Continue straight ahead towards the Baisse du Loup along a pleasant balcony path, then through the woodland.

(2) Retrace your steps, descending to the right to reach the Col de Ségra, then the starting point (S/E).
