On the heights of Bouvignes and Dinant
A circular loop to discover Bouvignes and Dinant from above. The highly recommended combination with the route called "From Dinant to the Moniat rocks" allows you to fully discover this area of the Dinant region. With the exception of a few very short sections, this walk follows the GR®129 and then GR®125-126 long-distance footpaths.
Woods and paths between Dave and Naninne
This route will take you through the vast Dave woods, where you can admire beautiful views of the Meuse valley and the village of Naninne, and explore Dave's secret little paths.
Fields and woods around Saint-Gérard
An easy walk in the vicinity of Saint-Gérard, crossing vast fields and a few woods via dirt tracks and small, quiet tarmac roads. Beautiful distant views across the fields, a lovely view of Brogne Abbey, and a passage through the Bois de Neffe woods.
The ruins of Montaigle and the Sosoye nature reserve from Falaën
A varied route that passes through the village of Falaën with its stone houses, the bucolic Flavion valley, the imposing ruins of the medieval castle of Montaigle and the Montagne de Sosoye Nature Reserve with its beautiful limestone meadows.
Marlagne, the Meuse Plateau and the banks of the Meuse at Wépion
A varied route that allows you to discover the most interesting aspects of the municipality of Wépion. It first crosses the Marlagne estate, with its fascinating and turbulent history. It continues through the hills of Wépion, offering distant views, and ends along the banks of the Meuse with its castles and beautiful villas. The route mainly uses small tarmac roads (those allergic to tarmac should give this a miss), a few dirt tracks, and the towpath.
La Sibérie, La Couleuvrine and the banks of the Meuse at Profondeville
This is a fairly challenging walk that allows you to discover the hill of Petite Hulle, the vast and high slope of Grande Hulle on the edge of the Meuse plateau, as well as the viewpoints of Sibérie and Couleuvrine and the Meuse towpath in Profondeville. The fairly steep slope of the Grande Hulle and the total elevation gain make this hike equivalent to a short climb. The route mainly follows dirt roads and trails. There is little tarmac.
Streams, forests and fields in the Solières area
This varied and undulating route allows you to explore the beautiful region of Solières and Ben-Ahin with its vast woodlands and picturesque streams (the Solières and Ben streams).
The Montaña Tinasoria route in La Geria
A truly exotic route in La Geria, a protected landscape characterised by thousands of small semi-circular walls (“zocos”) sheltering vines growing in the black volcanic ash. The ridge of Montaña Tinasoria, which is very easy to walk along, offers a superb 360° view.
Circuit in the Saint-Hubert forest starting from Fourneau Saint-Michel
This is a very easy route through one of Belgium's largest deciduous forests, on comfortable gravel paths and a little tarmac, but very secluded, completely away from 'civilisation'. It passes by the Étang de Bilaude bird observatory, which is superb in its moorland setting. In several places, beautiful benches carved from tree trunks invite you to rest and contemplate.
The Meuse plateau via Anhée, Warnant and Haut-le-Wastia
A very varied route passing through woods, fields and typical villages on the Meuse plateau above Anhée. Beautiful views of the undulating plateau, villages and rocks along the banks of the Meuse. The route takes in several beautiful little paths.
