Once you’ve left Pléneuf-Val-André, charming little tree-lined roads and hedgerow-lined paths await you. Keep your eyes peeled, as it’s around the bends that you’ll spot old wash houses and chapels. For cyclists, you’ll have even more time to take in these landscapes at your own pace.

With its beautiful panoramic views and hedgerow-lined paths through the Pléneuvien countryside, “Views of the Bay” promises to be the perfect afternoon walk to enjoy the gentle, fresh air… or not, if your aim is to tackle it as a trail run for a more challenging outing – though it’s still accessible if you’re looking to try your hand at trail running for the first time.

The Route des Marins winds its way between quays, paths and the GR®34, following in the footsteps of Pléneuf-Val-André’s maritime past. This walk will take you from the Church of St Peter and St Paul to the chapel at Dahouët along a route dotted with reminders of the town’s historical heritage.

The Pointe de Piégu trail has two distinct aspects, alternating between heritage and panoramic views. On the one hand, there is the built heritage, with the old fishermen’s cottages and period villas lining the streets you’ll walk through. On the other hand, there is the natural heritage, with the Îlot du Verdelet and Plage des Vallées, whose silt cliffs come into view as you pass Pointe de Pléneuf.

This short walk between the GR®34 and the harbour is a must-do in Pléneuf-Val-André. Ideal for discovering various aspects of the resort, you can first explore its heritage by strolling through its streets, around the harbour and along the lake, then admire it whilst walking along the GR® trail, where you’ll enjoy superb views of Val André Beach and Le Verdelet.

Half countryside, half coastline, the Vallées walk will show you the natural beauty of Pléneuf-Val-André in all its forms. Walk alongside the golf course and follow the Vélomaritime cycle route through gentle fields and woods, accompanied by the sound of songbirds, then round off in style by walking along our section of the Côte de Penthièvre on the GR®34. Beaches, the bay and cliffs will unfold before your eyes for a return journey rich in panoramic views.
