Les Saisies resort is a good starting point for enjoyable snowshoe hikes. This hike takes you away from the resort and its ski lifts to an alpine pasture environment facing Mont Blanc. It is quite long, but the elevation changes are very reasonable.

Once you leave the forest, Mont Blanc is omnipresent. Then there is a lovely circular walk through the Combettes mountain pasture to discover Lac de Brassa at the foot of the Grand Mont. This is a circular walk with no technical difficulty.

The path takes us through the Montaz and Commanderie hills and magnificent alpine pastures covered in flowers. The climb through the forest is a little steep at the beginning. Significant incline.

The Dôme de la Girotte is a hill (not named on IGN maps) overlooking the dam and Lac de la Girotte. The approach from Les Granges is quite steep through the forest, but then leads through mountain pastures with safe and pleasant slopes all winter long, up to a ridge offering fine views of Mont Blanc.

Another long stage between the Chalet des Arolles and the hilltop village of Molliessoulaz.

This is a round-trip hike through meadows and woods. The last part descends steeply to the wooden bridge over the Nant Rouge. This section can be quite slippery in wet weather. ⚠️Recommended for experienced hikers due to its dangerous nature (steep and very slippery sections).

A beautiful, easy and short walk with a passage over the Himalayan footbridge. Please note: a municipal by-law prohibits access to the left bank due to rockfalls. However, the Himalayan footbridge can be accessed from the right bank.

At an altitude of 2,686 metres, this imposing summit is the highest point in the south-western part of the Beaufortain massif. This is an easy loop walk that allows you to see up close a major feature of the landscape at this end of the Beaufortain. Of industrial and historical interest (the construction of the dam is closely linked to the resistance movements in the area).
