Car park at Le Hameau du Chêne Vert.
(S/E) Take the small tarmac road leading down to Étang Bouillon. After 200 m, turn off the road to the right onto a dirt track that climbs towards the forest. You will reach a tarmac road.
(1) Cross this road and take the dirt track that descends alongside the woods. After 150 m, just before a very steep slope, turn right onto a small path overlooking the Vallée de la Même, from where you can admire the village of Saint-Germain-de-la-Coudre. The path becomes tarmac. At the hamlet of L’Auberdière, follow it to the right, then 50 metres further on, turn left and follow the tarmac road down to the D107.
(2) Cross this road and follow the tarmac path which descends gently amongst the small, traditional Perche-style houses and joins a departmental road. Follow this road to the right as far as Gémages. Take the time to visit the charming church, which is very often open.
(3) Continue along the main road and turn right off it as you leave the village to follow the D638.
(4) Take a stony track to the left and, after 100 metres, turn left onto the small path leading up towards the forest. When you reach a dirt track at a place called Le Houx, turn right. You’ll come to a tarmac road near a place called Les Bouleaux.
(5) Follow this tarmac road to the left. The road becomes a gravel track after the last house and descends alongside a woodland. The track widens, offering views of the village of L’Hermitière and its castle. It ends at the D211.
(6) Cross this road and take a tarmac road that leads back to the starting point (S/E).
