Mostly through the woods: gravel or dirt paths, with mud in places.
The final section runs between fields.
There is very little tarmac – a little at the start and a little at the end.

Description of the walk

(S/E) From the church, at the corner of the cemetery, take the small road leading uphill opposite, heading due south.

(1) After the old village school, which is on the right with a small square in front of it, turn left onto the gravel road leading into the woods. This will later become a dirt track. Keep going straight on. Ignore the roads branching off to the left and right. At each junction, go straight on.

(2) Turn left at the fork. You’ll start heading downhill. At the end, the road turns right at a right angle and another road joins from the right.

(3) Turn left and continue downhill. Further on, the first houses of Ottré come into view.

(4) When you reach the tarmac road, follow it to the left until you reach the church (S/E).

A very pleasant and peaceful walk through the woods and along the meadows. A beautiful, peaceful little village. My grandchildren were pleasantly surprised by the small playground in the car park near the church and the horses at the end of the trail. We will definitely be back to explore in other seasons.
