The route runs along the water's edge, passing several viewpoints, including the confluence of the two Ourthes rivers. The Nisramont dam and two footbridges are essential for crossing from one bank to the other. Please note: this is a challenging hike (see practical information)

Three villages on the banks of or overlooking the Semois, where you can explore ridges, ladders and viewpoints.

From the Pont de Cordemoy, climb the Auclin hill to discover its viewpoints and belvedere. Continue on to the viewpoints of the Abbaye Notre-Dame and L'Épine. Cross the 55-metre-long suspension bridge over the Semois at the Moulin de l'Épine. Set off to discover the viewpoint of the Rocher du Pendu, the botanical and geographical arboretum and finish with a view of Bouillon Castle from La Ramonette.

This is a fairly long hike through the woods, with good paths and signposted trails. There are some nice climbs and numerous views of the Semois, the Ardennes forest and Bouillon.

This short, mainly forest walk will take you close to the Semois river and offer beautiful views of its winding valley.

Discover the wild Haute Lesse from Redu, passing through La Roche aux Chevaux and the Notre-Dame de Walcourt chapel in the village of Lesse.

Limestone and blue stones make up a significant part of the habitat. Rue Haute is a fine example of this. Several limestone houses dating from the 18th century stand side by side. Among these are two listed buildings, the Moulin Faber and the Maison Godenir, which houses the Royal Tourist Office.The Aïve Cave/Neolithic cave, Ti Château/Roman camp, Trou Fré Djame... are other places you will encounter along this route.

At the intersection of the Condroz, Ardennes and Famenne regions, walk through limestone grasslands, forests and country lanes to reach Logne Castle and back. The bridges over the Aisne (5) and the Lembrée, after the (13), have temporarily disappeared. If you start this hike, please bear in mind that you may have to wade across the river (5) as there is no other alternative.

A walk starting from Tellin to discover the villages of Resteigne and Belvaux via the La Lesse valley and the Bois de Niau (woodland) where a hermit lived. There are still ruins of the hermitage of this former officer of Napoleon and heir to the Château de Resteigne (castle). On the way go past the Rocher à Pic viewpoint, the Belvaux chapel, the Hermitage, the Mill, the Castle and the old Resteigne quarry.

The village of Chiny is renowned for its storytelling festival. Located on the border between the Ardennes and Gaume regions, Chiny is ideal for walking. Come and discover its magnificent views, nestled among the meanders of the Semois. Revised route

Walk between France and Belgium from Orval Abbey to the small village of Williers on the French side. Hike along forest trails, guided by the murmur of a stream. Encounter a herd of Highland cows and, more unusually, observe traces of Gallo-Roman remains.

Starting from Achouffe, discover the valley of the Ruisseau de Martin Moulin. The route follows forest paths and trails, ending with your feet in the water, and sometimes mud, on the path along the stream at the Moulin de Wihogne.

The Fond des Vaulx is part of the Famenne-Ardenne Geopark, the first UNESCO Global Geopark in Belgium. A stone's throw from the town centre, this small, steep-sided valley offers a landscape that contrasts with the expanse of the Marche plain. It is home to several caves, chantoirs and holes, including the Trotti-aux-Fosses chasm, which is unique in Belgium and remarkable for its collapse chasm morphology.

Roche Levée, Saut des Sorcières, Mont Zatrou viewpoint, Roche Percée: these are just some of the places you will discover on this hike.

From Château Pierlot, you will visit the Grotte Saint Remacle via the Thibeauroche viewpoint and the bridge. With a little extra climbing, you will reach the Croix viewpoint overlooking the entire valley. The return journey will be along a short section of neglected paths, ending at the Prompt Secours Chapel and the Mergyre viewpoint.

Starting from Masbourg, the forest trails will take you halfway to the Fourneau Saint-Michel, an estate comprising the open-air museum of rural life in Wallonia and the Iron Museum, with a return trip through the heights of the Masblette valley.

Chapels to discover in the villages of Parette and Nothomb, a state-owned reserve in the Nothomb valley to cross, border marker 151 to find in the middle of the woods: this is what's on offer on this circular starting from the village of Nothomb.

A varied hike, between quiet asphalt roads, paths, countryside, villages and crossing Durbuy. Lovely views.

Starting from the hamlet of Beauplateau and the former convent built in 1880, set off to discover the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Lorette via covered and uncovered trails, roads and dirt tracks.

A lovely walk along the Semois on a wooded path with little elevation gain except for a short but steep climb at the end on a narrow path to return to the starting point.

This walk is simply intended as a chance to recharge your batteries in the forest, in this case the Neufchâteau forest. Passing through the Forges de Mellier and the Étang du Cul de l'Oie.

Start at the Ermitage de Saint-Léger, continue towards the Trou du Pérou and its waterfall, pass by the Étang du Fourneau David, then the Source Pétrifiante, and finish by crossing the Bois de Saint-Léger.

Walk in the Land of the Awenne Clog Makers. This slightly hilly route, mostly through forest, will take you past the Notre-Dame de Lourdes cave and the Ri Bellerose stream to the heights of the Prairies de Gimbes ridge, passing by the open views at a place called La Justice.

In the north of the province of Luxembourg, on the border between the Ardennes and the Famenne, a hike in the Great Forest of Saint-Hubert to discover the serenity of the forest, a few historic buildings and beautiful views.

Set off to explore the Tombeau du Géant viewpoint in Botassart, passing by the ruins of Château le Duc, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception in Botassart and returning via the Rocher des Gattes viewpoint, the Lyru viewpoint, the Gué des Invasions, also known as the Gué du Loquet, and the two small museums in Ucimont.

Starting from the Daverdisse mill, this route is exclusively through the forest, returning along the Rogifosse stream, a tributary of La Mache, which you will find in the last kilometre.

A few steps from the French border, La Roche à l'Appel is a geological curiosity located in one of the Gaume nature reserves, in the village of Muno. It appears as a chaotic pile of enormous blocks of Fépin puddingstone.

A forest route from Maissin, an Ardennes village situated on a bend in the Haute Lesse, to the outskirts of Redu, passing through the village of Lesse.

As a resident of the pretty little village of Montleban, I’d like to suggest a route to my fellow walkers and/or joggers that consists of 90% wooded paths and 10% quiet, unpaved roads. Throughout the walk, you may be lucky enough to encounter a family of wild boars or deer.

This walk begins by following one of Wallonia's iconic rivers, with some beautiful rocks as a bonus, before offering a pleasant loop through the forests and countryside south of the tourist town.

This route combines rural exploration, panoramic views, rocks and forest single trails, between the water's edge and rocky passages. Although the outward journey is not particularly difficult, please note that the ridge crossing is a demanding section that should not be underestimated!
