Start at a place called Le Terron. There is a small, rarely used car park.
(S/E) The narrow path starts from the car park and climbs immediately, heading due east, up a steep slope. It’s tough going, but we can enjoy the lovely scent of rosemary. This plant is very common at the start of the route. We reach the tarmac road.
(1) We turn left. We walk alongside the vineyards and enjoy an unobstructed view of the Baronnies. We follow this path, which descends steadily to the hamlet known as Le Mourchon. We arrive at cistern no. 239 and take the small road to the left.
After the first bend, keep an eye out: a tiny path on the right descends into a valley.
(2) We follow this path to where it meets another track. We take this track to the left and begin the climb, keeping closely to the path. We arrive on theGRP® des Dentelles de Montmirail.
(3) We head right, along a pleasant, flat forest track, until we reach a junction called Aubusson.
(4) We head towards Notre-Dame d'Aubusson on the left and begin a challenging climb (which requires hiking boots and, if necessary, walking poles). This signposted path ends with a climb over rocks. The reward is the arrival at Notre-Dame d'Aubusson.
(5) We are treated to a 360° panorama. The Mont Ventoux, the Baronnies, and the villages of Roaix and Rasteau. The descent will take us in the opposite direction to our ascent. The start of this descent is also quite challenging for about a hundred metres. We arrive at a place called Le Besson, where we meet a road.
(6) We turn right onto it to head straight back to Le Terron (S/E).
