Aviron car park at the end of Rue Bignon in Hardricourt
(S/E) Set off along the Seine and pass under the bridge, then immediately turn left and cross the car park. Cross Quai Albert Joly carefully at the pedestrian crossing and continue along Rue Challan. Turn left into the short Rue des Ruelles. Cross Rue du Maréchal Foch and continue straight ahead into Ruelle du Regard. At the end, turn left into Rue Haute and you will come to a crossroads.
(1) Turn right to go up Rue des Tanneries and, just after the railway bridge, take Rue de Beauvais on the right. After No. 6, turn right to climb the steps of Ruelle des 124 Degrés. At the top, on Place de l'Église, go around Saint-Nicolas Church on the right to reach the back of the building.
(2) Cross Rue de l'Église and climb the stone staircase with a metal guardrail. At the top, continue along Ruelle Saint-Avoye and pass a street on your left. The path eventually turns left, widens and becomes paved. At the bottom, turn right into Rue des Carrières. Then take the first right: Impasse des Réservoirs. At the end, follow the path on the left which climbs up alongside the cemetery wall and leads to a street opposite a building.
(3) Turn left and continue along Allée de la Claire Fontaine. At a fork in the road, take Allée des Ibis on the left and, in front of No. 14, turn sharply left onto a small path. This leads to a street, Allée d'Ile de France. Turn left and follow this street until you reach a roundabout. Continue straight ahead onto Rue du Clos Villiers. Just after No. 15, you will come to a small, semi-circular square with trees on the left-hand side of the street.
(4) At the end of this square, take a small path that starts at some small conical cement bollards. Follow this path, which runs parallel to a road, until you reach an underpass beneath the road. Turn left and you will come to a road that you should follow to the right. The road passes in front of the Tessancourt stadium and comes to a fork.
(5) Turn right and, after 500 m, at a crossroads, turn right (facing a street coming from the village) onto an uphill path. The path joins a wider track. Follow it straight ahead, pass in front of the cemetery and arrive at the RD922. Cross carefully and go down a few steps opposite. At the bottom, continue straight down the street until you reach a fork in the road, just after the cemetery.
(6) Turn right and immediately turn right onto a path that climbs along a stone wall. At the top of the hill, the path widens. Ignore a wide path that branches off to the right and continue straight ahead. The path eventually turns left and enters the woods. After 100 metres, ignore a path coming from the left and continue for one kilometre until you reach the first houses in Meulan.
(7) When you reach a tarmac lane, continue to the first crossroads and turn left. After 100 metres, you will arrive at Rue de la Ferme du Paradis (opposite: viewpoint overlooking the Seine), turn right and then take the first left (Rue de la Pierre à Poissons). Go through the metal gates and continue down the steep path to the end. Turn left and join Rue des Annonciades.
(8) Follow it to the right for 100 metres and turn left (metal barriers) onto the Rue Paul Valéry staircase, which descends towards the town centre. Continue to the end and turn right onto Rue des Écoles. Then take the first left (Rue du 8 Mai) and then right when you reach Place Brigitte Gros and continue to the town hall.
(9) Start opposite the town hall and cross the Pont aux Perches bridge. Once you have crossed the bridge, turn right onto Quai Albert 1er. At the end, follow the side road on the left along a row of trees. At the end of the side road, turn right, cross the Pont Saint-Côme bridge and you will arrive at a traffic light.
(10) Turn right along the avenue, cross the Pont Rhin et Danube bridge. Once you have crossed the bridge, go down the steps on the right to reach a car park. At the bottom of the steps, turn right and go under the bridge to return to the starting point (S/E).
